Living With My Friend's Brother [BxB] ✓

Chapter 6

Noah's POV

I had just made me some dinner and finished it and decided to do some cleaning off the kitchen, just out of boredom. Brett was out today, not sure if he was out partying or on a date. Just know that he was well dressed when he left. I had met him in the staircase outside the apartment and didn't bother to ask him where he was headed since he seemed like he was in a hurry. I was listening to music anyway as he was walking past me just giving me a smile in a hurry. 

Should I really be this bothered that my roomie has a life. I get that it's nicer when he's home and we get together and hang out, but he's older and he's probably trying to find someone to date or be in a relationship with. Both Valerie and Elliot, my two friends are in relationships, so why would it be weird that Brett who's older than us would be too. 

I don't really like the thought of it of course, but it's not really up to me. Besides, maybe I'm just jealous since I'm single and haven't found anyone. Or maybe it's the fact that I have a feeling for a guy who seems like he likes me one second and has sex with a girl the next. 

Once I had cleaned everything in the kitchen that needed cleaning, I walked to the sofa and sat down before I turned on the TV. I was too unbothered to find anything interesting to watch and too lazy to start Netflix and find something I wanted to watch. Instead, I decided I'd just watch whatever was on that wasn't horrible. 

Once again I was sitting, not knowing that Brett would show up with someone after he came home from a date. I rolled my eyes before they reached the living area. I could hear her heels as she was walking so I just assumed Naomi was coming over again. 

''This is my roomie Noah. Noah meets Alice'' Brett said as they stood behind me once they came inside the living room. Alice?

I turned around to see a new girl. This wasn't Naomi. She was very opposite of Naomi, but she had the same hazel colored hair like me and probably around the same heigh while Naomi had pitch-black hair and was taller than both me and Alice. 

''Hi, nice to meet you. You seem a little confused'' Alice said and giggled. She seemed cute.

''Um, no I was just not aware that Brett would bring anyone'' I lied and looked up at him before I looked back at her. What's up with him coming home with a girl and a different one than before? 

''Well anyways, we're heading to bed, see you tomorrow'' Brett said as he brought his arm around her waist and followed her to his bedroom. I think I'm about to throw up. No, I need to leave. I'm not staying, not if he's having sex again!

I arrived at Elliot's house twenty minutes after I left the flat. I took the bus and was happy about it since it had started to pour on my way here. 

''Hi, thanks for letting me stay over'' I said as Elliot opened the door. 

''Hi, Noah'' Valerie said as I entered.

''Oh hi Valerie, are you staying over too?'' I asked

''Yes, Elliot and I had planned it for some time, besides Matt is out of town so it was perfect to hang out again. Also happy to see you'' she said and hugged me. Matt was her boyfriend. They had been together for some time so recently it had only been me and Elliot hanging out, but I was happy to see Valerie again. 

We walked upstairs to Elliot's room and he had already made ready two spare mattresses for me and Valerie to sleep on. It was nice that we could do this. It's been some time since all three of us were together.

''So tell me, why were you so desperate to stay over?'' Elliot asked as he and Valerie sat on his bed and looked at me while I was resting on my mattress. 

''Well, Brett has a girl over, and last time I couldn't sleep as they were doing each other the whole night, and I'm not ready to go through that again!'' I said annoyed.

''Oh, I'm sorry to hear that Noah. I know how you feel about Brett. Elliot told me before you came'' Valerie said and came down to my mattress and hugged me. It was almost a little annoying, I didn't need their pity, but I wouldn't tell them that, they were my friends and they only wanted what was best for me. 

''It's fine, besides it's not the same girl even'' I said and threw my face down in my pillow and screamed''

''Ew, what a douche'' Valerie said.

''Hey, remember guys, that's my brother. But yeah, kinda douchy'' Elliot said and we all had to laugh for a moment. I guess it helped, after all, staying here instead of home tonight. 

We decided to watch a movie before bedtime, not caring that it was half-past eleven already. 

Halfway during the movie, Brett called me. No, I can't be bothered. I'll just ignore it.

''Are you not going to get that'' Valerie asked as I put it on vibrate. 

''No, it's just Brett. I don't really want to talk to him right now'' I said. Both Valerie and Elliot seemed understanding. But as annoying as Brett could be he wouldn't stop calling. After I had five missed calls and ten text I put my phone in flight modus.

''Maybe you should talk to him, so he knows that your safe'' Elliot said worried.

''Why, he clearly doesn't care about me when he brings new girls every other day. I don't like the feeling of having him close one day and him having another girl close to him the next. I'm not ok with him playing with my emotions'' I said angry and both Elliot and Valerie seemed to understand. They both knew about these girls now and I had explained more about stuff that had been happening recently between me and Brett when we were alone. I can't deal with these mixed signals. I don't really know where I have him.

''Ehm, Noah. He's calling me now'' Elliot said and looked at me.

''Please Elliot, as a friend I beg you to just ignore it. I don't want to talk to him.'' I said pleating. Elliot was understanding. He was a good friend. I get that he wanted to tell his brother that I was here at his place, but I know that Brett would force him to put me on the phone and I wouldn't let him. This would probably lead to him driving here and pick me up and I honestly don't want to see him tonight!
