Brett's POV

When I got home, I started to panic when I don't see Noah's shoes by the entrance, nor his jacket. I rush towards Noah's room and opens the door, relieved to find Noah sleeping in his own bed. I leave Noah's bedroom but keeps the door ajar.

More relaxed, I lay down on the sofa, put the TV on, and then a thunderstruck suddenly appeared, I look out toward the balcony and sees Noah's jacket and shoes outside, hanging over the balcony railing.

I open the glass sliding door to the balcony, and pick up Noah's stuff, and realizes they were on the balcony because they were wet and full of dirt, and that's why I didn't see them at the entrance. I began to wonder how they got that dirty but took them inside right as the storm really started and heavy rain came with thunder and lightning.

It had been really nice weather until right after me and my boys left after we ate. I guess Noah got wet when walking home, but I still can't figure out why his clothes were dirty. Did he roll down a dirt hill, I thought to myself and chuckled.

I took Noah's stuff and put them inside the shower so they wouldn't make the whole bathroom- or the hallway floor dirty. Then I got back to the sofa and continued to watch TV.

The door to Noah's room suddenly opens wider. Noah showed his face and I quickly saw the cut on Noah's lip. Before I could even think, my body had quickly got up from the sofa and I approached Noah.

''What happened to you?'' Noah stood there with his duvet around him and tried to turn away from facing me.

''Nothing, just some homophobic assholes who got what they deserved'' I was confused ''what, you fought them?''

Noah looked up at my face ''Yeah, you thought I would let them beat me up without a fight?'' Noah said with a smile. I was impressed, but also worried.

''I told you I didn't need your protection as Elliot does'' Noah said now in a better mood with a smile on his face.

A thunderstruck appeared and the sound was louder than before, Noah flinched and squished his eyes tight and tried to hide in his duvet. I let out a light chuckle ''and the tough guy who doesn't need protection is scared of some thunder and lightning.''

Noah looked back up at me with annoyance but another lightning stuck and this time Noah jumped into my embrace. I understood that Noah was really scared of the loud sounds and the bright lights and decided to quit with the joking. While Noah was holding onto me for dare life, I picked up Noah in his duvet and carried him over to the couch where we snuggled up together.

I could tell that Noah instantly felt safer when he was lying in my strong and protective arms, snuggled under the same duvet. I was thinking to myself, not trying to brag or anything. Not that he would ever admit that he liked to be in my arms that were comforting him, but I knew. I could clearly tell.

Noah fell asleep and I decided to be a gentleman and carry Noah to his own bedroom and put him in his own bed. After, I went back to my room and got my own duvet and a mattress and placed it on the floor in Noah's bedroom to be there for him if he would wake up scared.

It didn't feel right to be in the same bed as him, I don't want him to wake up and be nervous because we slept in the same bed. I'm patient, one day he'll be ok with it and I can wait.
