When Teddy and Luke got back the first thing they noticed was Julie was no longer there but Alex and Reggie were both pacing worriedly in front of the piano. He assumed they were concerned about where Luke had gone."What's up guys." Teddy chirped nervously causing them to jump. When they turned around they let out relieved sigh at the sight of the pair, quickly engulfing them both into hugs. Which surprised Teddy because with the way he had been treating them he assumed that they probably didn't care where he had gone.
"Hey, are you guys ok? What happened? One minute you guy were standing there the next you guys were gone. We were worried." Alex spared a look at Teddy and gave him a soft, nervous smile that he returned. "Both of you." Reggie nodded along giving Teddy a goofy smile that he chuckled at.
"Yeah, we're actually really good." Luke started before looking to Teddy for conformation to which he nodded confidently in reply "Teddy and I actually talked and it turns out that he doesn't hate us anymore. It was all a big misunderstanding." Luke threw his arm around Teddy with a big smile as he looked at the other two guiltily.
"Bobby stole one of my songs and passed it off as his to you guys. I- um I thought you guys were in on it so I got mad and I treated you guys really badly, so I'm sorry for that." Teddy let out and small cry "I'm an asshole for doing that."
Reggie then pulled Teddy away from Luke's arms into his own comforting hug, when they pulled away all three turned to Alex who had an angry expression that worried Teddy a bit.
"How could he do that. I knew that song felt to personal to have been Bobby's" Teddy let out a breathe of relief. "I'm so sorry he did that to you." Alex reached out last and hugged Teddy to which he returned happily. When they pulled away Alex noticed Teddy still had tears in his eyes to he reached up to his face and used his sleeve to wipe them off.
All the sudden the tension was a little too thick and Teddy turned to the boys with a big smile and slightly pink cheeks. "Do you guys know what Julies up to?"
"She's probably eating dinner, why?" Alex gave Teddy a skeptical look.
"I didn't really get to talk to her. I sort of zoned out when you guys started talking about The Orphiam. I wanna go check on her. See how she's dealing with the whole four ghost in her studio thing."
Teddy's POV
I started walking walking to the house before anyone had a chance to deny but I heard footsteps follow so I assumed that they agreed with my plan.
When I reached the front door I stuck my head through to see that Julie and her family had joined hands and were in the middle of a prayer. What really broke my heart was the extra place set that they were praying with. I all of the sudden felt like I was intruding on a private moment. At least until I heard
"Hello, Hello?" From the kitchen Julie and her family quickly move to put away the place setting before seeing a woman walk towards them with food. "Spaghetti? Again?" The woman questioned and I began to look at her funny
"What's with the judgement lady?" That's when Julie looked at me with wide eyes, just realizing I was there. "Hey Julie, I didn't get to introduce myself out there before I -uh- ghosted? My way out of there. I'm Teddy Noah Allen and I know they can't see me so don't say anything to me or you'll look crazy."
"That's too bad I brought my pasteles sand arroz con pollo." I walked to the kitchen when Julies tia put the food down
"Mmmm, thanks tia. It smells great." Julie forced while sparring a glance at me. While I attempted to poke at the food.
"You can have it tomorrow." Her tia dismissed picking the food from the counter (much to my dismay) and putting it in the fridge. "I can't let you have leftovers every night. My sister would kill me. May she Rest In Peace." I glanced sorrowfully at Julie before zoning out of the rest of their conversation beginning to think about my family as well
"Ahhhh!" I zoned back in at the sound of Julies yell and looked to see the boys had entered the room and were frozen mid step. "That's meee."she chuckled nervously "Ripping off the Band-Aid."
"There's my brave girl" Julies tia fawned as she grabbed Julies chin
All the sudden Luke popped up next to Julie and I went to stand by Alex and Reggie. "Hey Julie, I really like what you did with the place."
"You shouldn't be here" Julie berated causing her family who can't see us to turn to her.
"Oh, I'm just here to help, mija."
The four of us ghost then looked at each other nervously "I think that's our cue to leave." Alex said causing nods to go around
"I mean, you should be at Pilates." Julie hugged her aunt and shot us a dirty look
Reggie spoke as we shuffled out of the room "we should of called first." I let out a chuckle and walked through the door.
When we got out I was still chuckling giddily "Julie's so cute, guys." The boys looked at me funny and I elaborated "I mean c'mon she's adorable. That glare was adorable." I linked arms with Alex "I think she's gonna like us. We just have to show her what there is to like." I started to pull them back to the garage.
"Tee, I don't know if anything we do is gonna convince her to let us stay." I looked at Luke and smiled fondly at the unfamiliar nickname. "I mean all we've done is be intrusive since we got here."
"How about you guys play her some music." I ask softly "I've been wanting to here it myself. Now that there's no burning hatred to stop me I think I could kinda like your guys music."
"That's a lie. Your gonna love our music and you know it." Alex smiled as he looked at me.
When we reached the garage the boys scrambled for there instruments as I sat on the couch. As they all got ready I got comfortable and started thinking about how I used to feel towards them and how that all changed with a simple explanation. About how confused I was now at the prospect of how close I could actually see myself being around these boys just by how they've always treated me, even when I was horrible to them.
"Hey Tee? Your an artist right? Like, you can sing?" Alex's voice snapped him out of him thoughts and he nodded in retun "Can you sing for us right now?" By now Luke and Reggie had gathered at the topic of my talents
"Yeah, you yelled at us about your gig at the Orphiam. You have to be pretty good if they even considered you." I frowned at the mentioning at the Orphiam and they must of sensed it because Reggie put his arm around me in confort and Alex grabbed my hand while Luke seemed guilty about bringing it up. "I'm am really sorry about that by the way. We didn't know that we were taking you gig. I swear it."
I sighed before smiling slightly "You can hear me sing" the boys perked up "IF, I can here what you guys were gonna play at the Orphiam." The boys all gave me goofy wide smiles before making here way to there instruments and beginning a song that I was unfamiliar with.
We were having fun and I was finding myself really enjoying the song so far till Julie came in shouting for the boys to stop playing. "Julie you're so cute." I cooed while she looked at me funny "I like the dinosaur slippers." I giggled and for a second I saw a hint of a smile on her face before she looked back at the boys.
(I'm not cutting Marlene completely from the book. I just decided not to change Alex's sexuality for the books purpose and decided to go with a male O.C. for the book. Marlene will be cast as Julies sister who will be able to touch the ghost.)
