The boys left a while after, deciding they had wanted to see what the Orphiam had become and I decided to stay behind deciding that I wanted to spent time with Julie for a bit.

I was about to walk through the door when a car pulled up to the house and a tall girl with curly hair stepped out of the drivers seat and began to walk towards the house. I watched for a quick second of the girl made her way to the front door before stopping in front of me.

"Excuse me, if you wouldn't mind I need to pass to get into my house." The girl smiled sweetly

I stood still baffled at the girls ability to see me before she snapped me out of it by snapping in my face.

"I know I'm a gorgeous face to ogle at, but as I said before I need to get into my house so move."  But I still didn't move choosing instead to Stan there like an idiot and gape like a fish. "Alright, that's enough. Move it man."

The girl suddenly reached out for both my shoulders but found herself surprised when her hands were met with air. She froze for a split second before letting out an ear splitting scream completely shaking me out of my stupor.

"Oh no. No, no, no, don't scream I'm a nice ghost." I cooed but the girl continued to scream before running threw me and into the house with me on her tail. "Ohhhh shit. Hey, no, please come back."

The girl ran upstairs and I poofed after her. When I got up I saw her with Julie desperately trying to get her out of her room. I walked in and the stranger stated to scream again before grabbing a book from  Julies desk and attempting to chuck it at me. I silently begged Julie for help when the girl reached or the lamp.

"MARLENE! What are you doing? Put my lamp down." Marlene look at Julie strangely before ignoring her and throwing the lamp anyway. "MARLENE! It's ok, this is Teddy. He's harmless. He's a .... should you believe me if I said magician friend?"

Marlene sent Julie a deadpan look "Am I stupid? No I wouldn't believe you."

"What if I said he was a figment of your imagination?"

"No."

"What if she told you I was a ghost?" I cut in and Julie shot me a look

"I don't mess with none of that spirit shit. Jay we're moving out right now." Marlene grabbed Julies hand roughly causing  me to panic as I saw her wince.

The next thing I know I had successfully pried Marlenes hand off her Julies "Don't hurt her like that." I defended and it seemed as if everyone had suddenly  stopped breathing as Marlene  looked down at her hands in horror.

"Fuck! I did it again didn't I Jay?" I stepped in front of Julie calmly and held my hands out "I'm sorry" she whispered sticking her head in her hands.

Julie moved towards her and motioned for me to do the same.

"Mara, I know, I know you didn't mean it. You were just scared for me." Julie gently motioned me forward and I stood directly in font of Marlene.

"Hey, I'm- uh... I'm Teddy." I shyly introduced again "I believe we got off on a bad foot. Don't worry about it. I'm sorry I scared you." I cooed at the crying girl.

"I'm Marlene, I swear I'm not usually violent." She wiped her eyes with a chuckle.

"She is extremely sassy though." Julie butted in with a smile.

"That I am." Marlene agreed and put an arm around her sisters shoulder "Sooo.... you're a ghost? What's that like?"

"I have three attractive ghost friends. I'm Julies favorite out of all of us. I live in your garage now and if you wanna be my friend, then I made a new friend." I smiled brightly seemingly defusing the rest of the tension in the room.

"Uh, yeah I'll be your friend.... if I get dibs on calling you Casper."

"Yeah, you can call me Casper if you wanna." Marlene smiled before walking out the door. I suddenly turned to Julie slightly panicked. "Who's Casper?"

Julie just laughed and walked out of the room too.

"Who's Casper?"

"While you guys where gone I met someone else can see me. She threw a lamp at me and I didn't tell she this, so she doesn't know, but she's my new best friend. I've claimed the title, it is mine."

Carlos and Ray didn't look up from their activities, but I kept talking.

"Furthermore, I still believe Julie is still a ball of sunshine despite her desire to intimidate me. I'm sorry Ray, but she is my child now. I have adopted her. She is also mine."

Suddenly Carlos groaned in frustration and got up after getting stuck on a homework problem. Ray was distracted so Teddy quickly moved to Carlos's paper to see what problem he got stuck on. When he realized he knew the answer he as cautiously as he could, with utmost focus, picked up the pencil and answered the question for him.

When Carlos came back he was surprised to see I had written the answer down but smiled nonetheless quickly thanking his dad (Who I'm guessing he assumes solved the problem.).

I smiled at the pair warmly before poofing away.

"HEY! Coolio Julio." I finger gunned at Julie awkwardly

She looked at me confused and I shrugged "Heyyyy Teddy." She drawled suspiciously.

"Marlene said something earlier and I'm guessing it's nothing but I just wanna check in with you. Is that ok?" Julie looked confused but nodded "She asked if she'd done it again. I assumed it was not what I was probably thinking. She said she's not violent."

Julie sighed and turned to face me all the way "No, she's not violent with me if that's what your asking. Ever since mom died she's just been a more protective over everyone. I fell out a tree this one time about a month after my mom died and Mara cried herself to sleep and then the next day she cut the tree down."

"I'm sorry, I knew it was a bad idea to bring it up. I was just worried that I might of been wrong."

"Thank you for making sure you were right." Came a sudden voice from the doorway causing me and Julies heads to turn, only to see Marlene standing there with a smile. "Thank you for making sure I didn't have any ill intentions when I grabbed her. Thank you for removing my hand when you saw Julie wince."

"Julies my friend. I care about my friends and what happens to them." Marlene stepped forward cautiously

"Does that include me now because as I recall you said you wanted to be friends." I smiled brightly before nodding and holding my pinky out and focusing on materializing it.

Marlene chuckled and linked her pinky with mine securing our new friendship.

"Best friends." She mumbled not expecting Teddys face to light up like it did but nonetheless finding comfort in it.

I know I said I'd have an Alex and Teddy moment but I ended up focusing on Teddy, Marlene, and Julie this chapter because the boys are out on the town. I'll try for next chapter.

Btw how do you guys like Marlene so far? She's a work in progress mostly because she has stuff she needs to work on just like Teddy will have stuff he needs to work on.
