Who was Betty? Well she was different from other people, strange yet so normal. Yes, I know that statement made no sense, but if you ever met this girl you would understand. Betty was a blonde girl who was obsessed with everything her parents didn’t want her involved with, it might be the reason why she approached me in the first place. She dressed the way her parents wanted her to, meaning looking like an innocent girl, but really she was wild. She was able to befriend anyone, and she did.

That's why her disappearance was weird and made no sense at all. Everyone knew this girl, nobody would, in their right mind, harm this girl. The police checked for any shady relationships, like a family member or an ex. The thing is I was her only boyfriend, so then I was blamed for her disappearance just because I wasn’t a northsider. Kevin soon debunked this, he’s one of Betty’s friends, Kevin knew I loved Betty the moment I saw her so I wasn’t capable of such a thing.

I got tired of the police quitting so soon on the investigation. So I did what Betty would be proud of me doing, I took the investigation in my own hands, just like we did with Jason. I got the “murder board” up, but I refuse to believe that Betty is dead. I was able to sneak into the Cooper house, I know that's breaking and entering but this is for the sake of the girl I love. I was able to get my hands on her phone and her diary, yet the only things mentioned in the diary were me and her parents. With her phone the only contacts were her parents, I found that strange because she always calls me and her friends or texts us. I looked even harder and longer, I soon discovered a false drawer in her desk. I lifted the white colored piece of wood, there were two items: a journal, and a phone. Why would Betty have two phones and journals?

I quickly grabbed the four items and raced out of the window because I heard steps towards her room. I quickly ran to one of the closest ally ways and slid down on one of the wooden fences, I opened my satchel and grabbed the second phone I found. Luckily it was completely charged, I swiped on the screen only for it to ask for a password, just great. I tried everything I could think of, I even checked the journals if she left the code on one of the pages, still nothing. Then I remembered one thing I still haven’t tried, my birthday, I quickly typed in 1002 and it unlocked. I smiled at my success and tapped on the contacts icon and all of her friends and me showed up, that was strange. I checked all the texts to make sure of nothing suspicious, still nothing. I went through the photos, all of them were just photos of me and her and our friends, but near the end of her photos there was a photo of a hand drawn map, it might be a little off but it was quite accurate.

The next day I was putting all of the new information on the investigation board, that's what I’m calling it now, Betty can’t be dead. I went back into my memory to the last week I saw her, she was mostly complaining about how her parents have been treating her lately. I sighed in frustration, what if she wasn’t kidnapped? What if she ran away? Then wouldn’t she have left me or someone a note? Anger was starting to rise in me, but not at her, at me for not noticing it. I flipped through her secret journal then a piece of paper fluttered on to the floor, I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, I swore I flipped through this entire thing last night, I would have seen it right? I picked it up and unfolded it

Dear Juggie,

Don’t worry I’m not dead, I know you’ll be investigating my “disappearance”. I know you're so worried, but don’t be okay? I’ll only be gone for a while, a few weeks at most. I just need to defuse before I explode, my parents have been getting more and more controlling. I’m not sure if you remember this but, do you know that bunker we found as kids, yeah, well that’s where I am. I am positive you were able to get into phone numero dos, in all of my photos there is a picture of a map I drew at lik 13 so it might not be completely accurate. The reason I’m telling you this is because I know out of everyone you’ll be worried the most, so if you actually wanted to see me then follow the crude map on my phone. When you get there I’ll explain everything.

-Betty

When it got dark out I snuck out of my trailer to go see Betty. I pushed the on button on the phone and searched for the map once again, once I found it I walked all the way to the forest labeled. I flipped on the flashlight I brought with me and I followed the directions as closely as possible and made it to the site, it kinda looked like a sewer entrance and not one to a bunker, but that might be part of the desiguse. I knocked on the top with my “special knock” so she knows it's me, the lid was opened it reval my girlfriend in one of my hoodies.

“Hey there Juliet” I sighed in relief.

“Hi Juggie” she giggled.

She motioned me into the bunker. When I got to the bottom of the ladder I looked around and everything was decorated in a mix of Betty’s true style and a something little kids came up with, as soon as I saw Archie’s old Tonka truck I knew this was our secret play spot lost in time.

“Soooo, you want some explanation don’t you?” She asked as she sat down on the cot small enough for at least one person.

“Yeah, I kinda do” I trailed off “why here? Why are you here? Like what’s the reasoning?”

“Home was kinda getting overwhelming, normally I stay here over the weekend and make up some excuse, but mom decided to mess with my school life, actually life away from home, Juggie they tried to convince me to break up with you” she said looking extremely emotionally exhausted.

“What? I thought your mom liked me?”

“No she just is keeping up appearances by being nice, she said, and I quote ‘I absolutely despise that boy, the only reason I act that way around him Elizabeth is so he doesn't spread rumours’, end quote”

I looked at my girlfriend, then an idea popped in my head. A perfect one actually and I knew exactly how to convince her parents to agree.
