dumbledore, the headmaster ended the feast. the teachers trickled out each with their own duties to attend too. some students hung around while others broke off into groups heading in different directions once reaching the great halls giant door's.

"hey, garcia! let me show you around and to our house." cedric exclaimed with his hand out to help iris up. she gladly took the hand of her new found friend.
as she got up she couldn't help herself, looking over to the slytherin table where one draco malfoy was already looking over at her while sending cedric a deathly glare but then turned his grey eyes back to her.

draco couldn't help but take in the beauty of the girl with the name iris garcia. the way her robes with the yellow of hufflepuff complimented her features, the way she had the front of her hair tucked carefully behind her ears. oh don't get him started on the way she smiled, the simple dimples in her cheeks that matched so well with the soft rose glow on her cheeks and the way she looked down and smiled widely as she took diggory's hand.
draco had to send him a glare, even if diggory was too focused on helping iris. he locked eyes with her across the room, her dark green, almost brown eyes even from across the room started to make malfoy, draco malfoy, weak in the knees.

as iris got up from the chair and stood, she quickly told diggory she was going to say goodbye to her best friend, elodie.
"iris brought a friend with her? i have to meet her!"
"thats her!" iris pointed out elodie to cedric.

cedric couldn't help but take in elodie, she radiates the energy he has long sort after. she radiates beauty.
he looks at her as her long dark blonde, almost brown hair, the way it falls and sways effortless as she talks to the people around her. her smile and laugh that seems to echo through cedric's mind. then he feels his stomach drop as elodie looks up and their eyes meet, her big, dark chocolate brown eyes meet his and that when he knew that no matter what, cedric was making elodie his.

"hi, i'm diggory, cedric diggory" as he reaches out a hand for hers. elodie gladly takes his hand in hers, taking in the soft texture of his hand.
elodie returns the greeting, "hey, i'm adams, elodie adams." elodie smiles, staring straight into cedric's eyes, their hands still together definitely causing iris to notice, iris' mind running with ways to get her new friend and best friend to spend more time together.

"so, elodie. got any plans until curfew?" smirked iris knowing exactly what she was doing. "seeing as cedric is in my house, his offered to show me around. i believe you could use the tour too?" elodie sent iris a 'you're so dead' look before agreeing causing cedric struggling to hold back to smile that's come across his face.

the trio walk around the castle as cedric guides the way, discussing and pointing out points, corridors and classrooms. cedric ends the tour back at the giant doors of the great hall.
"elodie, would you like me to walk you to the gryffindor towers?" cedric asks, pleasantly confident. a tinge of blush rises to elodie's cheeks and she agrees. cedric takes her arm and wraps it in his own as they turn and make their way toward the towers.
elodie and cedric bid iris goodbye as iris remembers that she in fact doesn't remember how to get to the hufflepuff house.
iris not being the type to freak out when shes lost enjoys the time to herself wondering around trying to find her way.

looking around at the castle as she slowly walks her way through the corridors taking in everything. all of a sudden, she's stopped in her tracks quickly realising she has run into someone. she apologises

"oh my, i am so sorry. i wasn't watching where i was going, honestly i don't even know where i'm going..." she rambles on but is quickly interrupted by the one and only draco malfoy.

"i was wondering when i was going to get the chance to talk to you again" draco smirked as he lent up against the wall.
his intimidating yet so incredibly attractive demeanour has an effect on iris, one she can't find the words for.

a slight blush quickly rose to her cheeks and she asserted her focus to the tiled floor her feet stand on.
draco couldn't help but admire the beauty this one girl holds alone as she keeps her focus on the floor.
"i think you mentioned you were lost?" draco smiled down at iris as she looked at him.
"yeah, unfortunately cedric's tour has completely slipped my mind" iris chuckled as she slightly shook her head.
draco couldn't help but let out a light giggle,"i'll be happy to show you to the house of hufflepuff" draco held out his hand for her to take, iris swiftly took draco's hand.
iris hated when they reached her house, not wanting to say goodbye to draco after spending the past 10 minutes taking to each other about anything the conversation could find.

"i guess this is where i must say goodbye." iris smiled as she let go of draco's hand.
"yes it is, i'll see you tomorrow at breakfast." and with a wink, he turned and walked away.
iris smiled widely making her way into the hufflepuff common room.

entering she saw cedric sitting on the couch looking pretty pleased with himself.
"how'd your little walk go, diggory?" iris smirked.
"your friend, elodie, wow. thank you for bringing her to me." cedric smiled at the ground. "i, um... we, ah.. kissed. i know its so early but i couldn't help myself. we talked the whole way and it just feels like i've known her my entire life. elodie adams is everything i need and more." the evident blush and smile plastered across cedric's face makes iris literally jump for joy.

her and cedric talk for a little while longer, discussing the most random things.
it hit 11:00pm as iris noticed she suddenly become tired.
she waved goodnight to cedric and headed into her dorm, iris wasn't sharing with anyone. she liked it better that way, like her own little hideaway.

as she closed her eyes all she could think about was the school year starting tomorrow, first proper day at hogwarts.
