Kagome woke the next morning feeling very warm and comfortable. She felt like she had slept well and that her rest had been truly peaceful; the events of past night not forgotten, but not at the forefront of her mind despite her recent attack on her person by the snake demon. Her eyes opened blearily to a sea of...silvery-white fur? Then she smiled in slight remembrance.
Sesshoumaru had come once more to her rescue though she knew he didn't have to, and once more he had decided to save her from the demon who had tried to rape her while she had been bathing. She wasn't going to lie or deny to herself that this was what the low-level demon had intended and to call it something else.
'Sesshoumaru, I have to wonder what has made you act as you are?' She idly thought as a soft smile graced her features while she buried her face into the fur
His beautiful and agile demonic form had lunged in anger to what the other demon had done. It's powerful youkai energy leaking from him as the strength of the muscles underneath all the fur was clearly showing that he wasn't to be trifled with. The demon lord had virtually forced the snake into submission and then he had allowed it to flee in fear for his survival.
He was strong, and deadly when needed. Kagome internally had known that; but she supposed that it was good for her to be reminded occasionally of how much so. To be reminded of how much of a true danger to her he could be if he wanted to.
Yet; Kagome believed that the demon lord didn't want to be seen as a threat...at least, not a threat to her now. For, he was compassionate and caring too in his own sort of silent manner. His actions spoke loudly to her in that she had quite misjudged him over the last three years since she began travelling the Feudal Era.
She silently promised herself to be more observant to those around her. To not let the opinions of others to color her view of the world and its inhabitants; as she once allowed Inuyasha to do to her. She knew well by now that the half-demon was a natural compulsive liar; though he didn't like to use it unless he felt he had to or if he knew it could get him what he wanted.
In this way, Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru were complete opposites. The demon lord detested dishonesty in all forms; took no hesitation at killing someone who tried to lie outright to him. Felt no guilt or remorse for it either, but then; perhaps that was simply part of the overall nature to those situations.
No matter how Kagome felt about it in distaste.
Then she snuggled the fur as she petted it and began to fully wake up. Sesshoumaru; on the other hand, he had then forced himself to rumble quietly in a pleased manner that had him practically melting in her hands. She was petting on his momoko, or his rather...she was unknowingly petting his tail and he was feeling really good now.
And he was becoming aroused to the touches she showered him with while seemingly oblivious to the fact that she was doing so.
Kagome then stopped as the demon forced down a whine to the lack of touches, and watched her curiously as she stretched as she stood before she grabbed her bag. She walked a few feet away and covered herself in the tree-line while she undressed from her sleep clothes. Then she pulled a new kimono for the day.
The demon lord respectfully turned his gaze from where she was; knowing the trees would not provide her as much cover as she would like it to when regarding his higher senses. The trees did cover her form from his gaze mostly, but his ears and sense of smell provided other images where his eyes could not scan through the forested areas.
When she returned; the demon was surprised to see another kimono. He hadn't thought the girl would have too many of them, but perhaps she had simply just chosen not to wear them until now?
