Roman was ecstatic, after he and Remus had split, he had a brother! This year, he and Remus planned a Holloween costume! Mario and Luigi, perfect for them! The red and green costumes, the brotherly bond, amazing! Their best idea yet! Since obviously, Roman was Mario he went out, into the living room, dressed in (obviously) a red plumber costume. "What do you think?" He asked Patton.
"Oooh, Kiddo, you look amazing! But I thought it was Mario and Luigi? Shouldn't you be Luigi since Remus is dressed as Mario?" Patton lifted an eyebrow in confusion. Patton was dressed as a cat because; "Just because I'm allergic, doesn't mean I can't love them!"
"What? I'm Mario and Remus is Luigi." Roman walked over to Remus' room and knocked.
Remus opened the door, and by no surprise, he was dressed as Mario. "What do you think?" He asked happily.
"Why are you dressed as Mario? I'm Mario! You're Luigi! Obviously! What is wrong with you!" Roman started scolding Remus, not noticing his brothers increasingly crestfallen look. Remus felt a twinge of guilt in his stomach. All he ever did was mess things up, that's why he was always excluded from things! "So I ask again. Why?" Roman finished.
Remus stayed silent for a second, searching for an answer. Finally, he swallowed and answered. "I guess... I just wanted to be the important brother for once." Remus closed his door, swallowing back tears.
Roman froze. He started remembering when he insulted Remus, left him out of things. Roman had been a horrible brother. After a while, Roman had an epiphany. He knew exactly what to do and how to make things better. He slid a note under Remus' door. I'll be back.
Roman ran to his room, locking it and staying in full creative mode for hours. Remus walked out of his room and walked outside of Romans door. He pressed his ear to the door, Remus heard mumbling, he decided to leave it alone and just went back to his room.
After several hours, Roman came out of his room, feeling victorious. Roman twirled in his new princess dress, striding over to Remus' door. He knocked and left a prince costume, perfectly fitted to his brother outside. Roman rushed to the corner, wanting to watch his brother's reaction.
Remus opened his door slowly, he looked around but didn't see anything. He figured it was a prank or something until he looked down. On the floor was a prince costume, folded neatly with a note on top. You'll always be the important brother to me. Remus picked it up, new tears filling his eyes, but this time, much happier ones. Remus went into his room to try it on.
Roman knocked excitedly. Remus answered in his new Halloween costume, he rushed at his brother giving him a high bear hug. "So you like it?" Roman asked.
"Like it? Like it? LIKE IT! I LOVE IT!" Remus screamed in Romans ear. "I love you too."
Romans heart melted. "I'm so sorry! I didn't realize I was doing that! Please forgive me! I love you!"
Remus smiled. "Of course I forgive you! Now, wanna go annoy Logan and Jan?"
"Always!"
