Trans Virgil because idk why but I like it- there will be tr/nsph/b// (a, o, i, a) and h/m/ph/b// but it'll be short and it won't be major

Virgil looked in the mirror, obviously, his parents would be angry but who cares at this point. Just last night he heard his parents talking about sending him to a different school. Apparently, this one was supposed to be less inclusive and they thought it would get him to stop saying he's a boy. "We'll have them call her by that name she chooses and everything, she'll see how uncomfortable and unnatural it is." They'd said. At least they're being dumb. Could be worse still bad, but worse things happen. He didn't want to leave, at least this place was familiar. Why would he want to go out in public anyway? Virgil ran a hand through his now short hair, silently thanking YouTube for having so many videos on how to cut his own hair.

He noticed the bold, red letters on his wrist. Roman. Maybe there was where he would meet his soulmate, assuming he didn't mess everything up and his soulmate started hating him. No, Virgil couldn't think like that right now, mom and dad would be home any second now. They already hated his emo style and general attitude. But at least he was more comfortable.

......

Roman sighed, another day at his boring old high school. Supposedly there was going to be a new kid today, their lockers were right next to each other and everything. Maybe this kid would be into theater and he could bring back the arts program. They had to get rid of it due to budget cuts, but if they had one more person sign the petition, the principal said he'd consider finding room.

"ROMAN!" Remus knocked on Romans dorm room door.

"What is it?"

"THE NEW KID'S HERE AND YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT'S ON HIS WRIST!"

Romans's head shot up, he looked in the mirror to make sure he looked good enough to meet a person. He ran towards the door and opened it. "What? What's on his wrist? Is it my name? My true love, I'm coming!" Roman almost ran out the doorway before he saw Remus' face.

Remus tried to conceal a smile but failed. He began laughing hysterically. "You- Oh my Jeffery Dahmer! Your face!" Remus cackled through laughs. "My true love!" Remus imitated Roman's voice.

Roman glared. "Why are you, my brother?" This happened every time there was a new kid at school and Roman fell for it every time.

Remus laughed a bit more before looking at Roman very sincerely. "That's probably something you should ask our parents, but I'm happy to tell you! When a man and woma-"

Roman rolled his eyes and cut Remus off. "That's not what I meant. And you know it's my dream to meet my soulmate! It will be a true fairy tale, love at first sight before we even know what's on our wrists." Roman paused. "But of course you wouldn't know anything about that, the first thing you did when you saw your soulmate was calling him a nerdy wolverine."

"You're a sap. But the new kid is here, so have fun." Remus grinned.

"Don't-"

"But not too much fun, you know our parents would kill you." He winked.

"I hate you."

"Aw, thank you, brother." Remus walked away.

Wait, he still said the new kid is here! Let's see how do we approach this, don't want to seem weird. Wait, I'm me! I'm amazing, not weird! Just stroll in there and meet him!

......

Virgil walked in and look around while his parents met with the teachers. They hadn't spoken a word to him since they saw his hair and only sent him a text to pack all his things and meet them at the car. The whole car ride to this new school was silent too, Virgil just put on headphones and think about what the new school was going to look like.
