Some things don't make sense in life,
And no one ever tries
To unravel the world of clever deception
Or unmask all the lies.
Honesty can sometimes kill
'Cause then you're left exposed,
Like the little girl misunderstood
That wishes it was closed.
But as much as she tried to feel contempt,
It always bothered her.
No matter what rang through her ears,
She never could be sure.
No one could blame her thoughts on it
Since she was so confused
She'd laugh and cry and punch her pillow,
Or smile and feel amused.
Was it normal? She didn't know-
Feels too intimidated to ask.
She's afraid to mess it up
Therefore she wears a mask.
Not a lot makes sense in the world
But some things seem for sure.
Nothing can explain to people
The feelings within her.
