Making It Through Together - Hyunjin x Jeongin

At the park

Jeongin's POV

I arrived at the park where I supposed Hyunjin would be. I wondered what changed his behavior out of blue. He was so happy when everything was alright, and now he's been distancing himself from everyone, all depressed. 

I saw a tall figure in the distance, so I decided to go and take a better look at the person who stood in the middle of the park.

As I was getting closer to the tall figure, the more I could see it was Hyunjin. My guess was accurate– except he wasn't alone. There was another person, and it looked like Hyunjin was bothered by their presence. I decided to run to them and see what was going on.

After a few seconds, I was right behind Hyunjin, who still hadn't noticed my presence. The latter, of course, did notice me and I knew I wouldn't like them if Hyunjin didn't.

"Awh, is this your friend? Why didn't you tell me you weren't friendless anymore?" - ???

"Wha– Jeongin! What in the Promethea are you doing here?!" - Hyunjin

"Well, I didn't know you were meeting up with someone and just leaving the house without a trace, mister. But I won't get mad just yet, who is this person? You look very bothered by his presence." - Jeongin

"Quite secretive, aren't we? Well, let me introduce myself. I am Shiro Kuchimya from Japan. I was Hyunjin's classmate when he went to Japan for a trip with his parents. I'm impressed they still fed you and didn't let you die, you useless thing." - Shiro

"Excuse me?! Who are you to insult him like that? You have NO idea what he's going through right now. Let me guess, you bullied him the entire time he was at your school."  - Jeongin

"You're the smart one, aren't you? Yes, you got it right. I did and it was fun as hell." - Shiro

"I didn't ask you what did you feel when you bullied him, you bastard." - Jeongin

Hyunjin's POV

Right now I wish, Jeongin wasn't here. That scumbag had to find me somehow and put me down to "my place" like back in middle school. The whole school considered me a denial. I couldn't fight back. I didn't know Changbin back then and if I did, he would just blame me for starting it, even though I never did. So I just kept quiet the whole time to be safer. Yeah, he did beat me up almost every day, but I didn't want to be sent to the principal's office because of something I didn't do.

To be honest. I'm scared of Jeongin right now. I've never seen the mad side of him and never in my life wanted to see it. He is cute but I didn't know he could be this intimidating. So what if he cursed at me and told me I'm useless, it's nothing I'm not used to. It just feels wrong he always stands up for me even though he doesn't need to. I'm doing just fine with people cursing at me.

I just hope nothing happens to him right now. . . I would blame myself for it and he would say it's alright because he decided to step into our argument. I just don't want to lose him and his mother. They're the closest thing I ever had in my entire life. What if my mother wouldn't want to hear me out too? I would probably die out of starvation and be homeless for the rest of my life. Or maybe they both would just ignore my existence if something happened to Jeongin. I don't want anything out of this to happen! I'm scared. . .

3rd POV

As Hyunjin was lost in his thought, he didn't pay enough attention to his surroundings. He didn't see Jeongin getting into a physical fight with Shiro in the meantime.

"You better stop picking on him! Don't you have anything better to do in your life?!" - Jeongin

"I won't stop because some of his bitches like you tell me to." - Shiro

"He was never like that! Stop lying you fucker. I'm not his bitch, understand?!" - Jeongin

Jeongin was now bloody as Shiro was as well. None of them wanted to quit it because they were arguing over Hyunjin and why should they listen to each other's reason. Hyunjin finally snapped out of it and noticed the other two. In a panic, he ran over to the boys and ripped them apart as they looked like they were about to scalp each other.

"What in the hell are you doing?! I wasn't finished with your little bitch over here!" - Shiro

"He's not my bitch Shiro Hyung! He's my friend as you said before, nothing else." - Hyunjin

"Heh, coward. You're just not gonna admit that you're a user and a fuck boy, are you?" - Shiro

"I don't know what rumors you heard or if you spread them, but it isn't true! I'm not a user nor a fuck boy!" - Hyunjin

"I know us two didn't before. . . but guys just quit it! Hyunjin we're going home! and you, if you ever speak to any of us two, I'm literally gonna have to let you be arrested. I'm not gonna deal with your bullshit anymore." - Jeongin

That was it. Jeongin brought Hyunjin back home, really pissed off at Shiro. He wasn't ready to get into a fight with someone who just wouldn't back off.

When they arrived home, Hyunjin was scared that he would have to tell Jeongin why was he with someone like Shiro at the park. It wasn't his fault Shiro found him there resting. But Jeongin wasn't cruel and didn't want Hyunjin to be scared to do or say anything in their own house. Instead, he helped Hyunjin to change his clothes, made tea for both of them, and settled everything in his room. Everything was ready for a peaceful speech with his fellow friend.

"Hyunjin. . .No! It's okay, you don't have to worry about anything. I'm not mad at YOU. It's not your fault or anything. Just tell me, why was Shiro talking to you so harshly?" - Jeongin

"He just came out of nowhere and started talking to me about things that happened in the past. I don't why he was there or if he's stalking me. It gives me the creeps, I don't wanna see him again, ever, but the next thing he's gonna do is transferring to our school." - Hyunjin

"You poor thing. . . If he's gonna transfer into our school he's for sure going to try and hurt you. The worse thing is he could try and spread some rumors about you from middle school that never happened in reality. Everybody loves you Hyunjin if they believe such a thing they're not your friends or really like you. Let's hope Changbin with Felix won't fall for it." - Jeongin

"Jeongin?" - Hyunjin

"Yes babe– I MEAN, HYUNJIN?" - Jeongin

Hyunjin chuckled. Jeongin always lighted up his mood no matter what. He liked the idea of being called like that by Jeongin. He loves Jeongin and wants to tell him he loves him. He just doesn't want to mess up during his confession.

"Could you then text them to watch out for him if he goes there?" - Hyunjin

"Sure, no problem Hyunjin." - Jeongin

"And just so you know I like how you attempted to call me back then." - Hyunjin

"SHUT UP IT WAS AN ACCIDENT– w-wait, really?...." - Jeongin

"Yeah, honestly. . . I love you, Jeongin and I wanted to tell you this for a long time now." - Hyunjin

"You know what's crazy? I wanted to do the same too, today but you weren't home so I had to find you instead." - Jeongin

Jeongin had to laugh, it was funny to him because he was preparing on confessing his feelings to Hyunjin and he wasn't home so his mood ad emotions changed very quickly. Hyunjin just sat there looking satisfied with what Jeongin told him except for the part he couldn't find him because he was at the park.

"So you're not waiting for your answer forever, I love you too and would love to be your boyfriend." - Jeongin

"Same here, you dork." - Hyunjin

Jeongin leaned in for a kiss which Hyunjin gladly accepted.
