Chapter Five - Memories.

| Jonathan |

I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face, I really needed and deserved that relaxation. I let out a yawn as I tried to extend my arms and legs for a stretching session but April had fallen asleep on chest. I chuckled as she softly snores, I caressed her cheek gently while she slept peacefully. I really miss this girl, I hate myself for making her suffer like this. We made each other feel loved, we enjoyed each other's company, we enjoyed spending every single time together. I wish I could go back in time, stop myself from going on with that honeymoon and I could've saved April.

I took my iPhone from the nightstand and opened it, it was currently 7:55 am so it was still early. I then felt April shift and her beautiful hazel brown eyes open up, she smiled at me as she yawned and stretched. She's so cute, seeing her in casts and bandages is such a pain.

"Good morning, cutie." She greeted.

"Morning, princess." I greeted back with a smile, "Did you sleep well?"

"Actually, this is the first time I slept this great since the accident." She admitted, "Especially since there is such a nice man sleeping beside me, protecting me all night last night."

I smiled, "You know I'll always be here for you, right?"

"Of course." She smiled, "Can we have breakfast now? I'm starving."

"The accident did make you forget everything but damn, your cuteness is not affected." I said.

"So you think I'm cute?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and a smile forming her lips.

"Absolutely." I tapped her nose, "Now let's get out of this bed and get breakfast for you."

As I was about to tap the button to call a nurse, April grabbed my hand.

"Can we go to the cafeteria instead? I don't want to stay in bed for so long." April suggested.

"If you say so." I smiled and we both got off of the bed.

I brushed my teeth, washed my face and got changed into some comfortable clothes. April then did the same, but she did not change since she's still patient in this hospital and she's forced to wear her hospital gown until she's discharged. She tried walking by herself and I'm proud to say that she's been improving since the accident, she can finally walk on her own. I grabbed my iPhone and wallet before April & I headed out to the hospital cafeteria. Once we were there, I went to order out food while April stayed at a table. I got her favorite breakfast; two french croissants, a cup of iced coffee and bacon with eggs. Unfortunately, she doesn't remember that this is her favorite so, yeah. I got the same for me and went back to the table where April is waiting patiently. She smiled once she saw her food.

"Thank you, this is my favorite." She said and began eating.

My eyes widened, "W-what did you say?"

"Thank you, this is my favorite." April repeated, "Is something wrong?"

"You remember your favorite breakfast." I said with a smile.

She took a sip from her iced coffee, "I guess I do."

I cheered softly and hugged April, "Oh god, you don't know how happy I am to hear you remember things."

She giggled, "Your so adorable, Jon."

I chuckled, "Do you remember anything about me?" I asked with hope.

"Um, besides everything you said about yourself. No." She said.

I sighed, "Okay then." I then began to eat slowly.
