Goodbye note

It's the last day of the summer and I just finished moving into my new home in Sydney. Words can't begin to describe how tired I am. I placed my last pillow on my bed sense it was the last thing I had to unpack. I fell back on my bed only to hear the doorbell ring. I let out a loud groan and got up to get the door. I would get my dad to do it but he's at work and my mom, well, passed away.

I open the door to a girl with a big smile on her face.

"Can I hel-"

"Hi!" She said while hugging me. At first I was taken back by the sudden gesture but soon patted her back. She finally released and I could see her face again.

"Hi, I'm Mali! I'm your new neighbour. Well, technically you're my new neighbour. Any ways welcome to Syndey!" She looked older then me by a couple years and Asian.

"Um hey I'm Tale. I just moved here from America." I said while sticking out my hand for her to shake. She took it and soon opened her mouth to speak.

"Pleased to meet ya. My mum wanted to know if you and your family wanted to come over for dinner later."

"Um, It's actually just me and my dad. He's out late tonight working so it's just me. I guess I could join you and your mom, if it's not to much trouble. " She looked a little confused then her face changed so it looked like a light bulb hit her.

"Oh no no! It's not just me and my mum. It's me, my mum, my brother who looks about your age and his three friends. They aren't that crazy." I thought about it for a moment.

"Okay then. I'll just tell my dad. When should I be over?" She thought about it for a moment.

"How's 2 hours for ya?"

"Great! See you then!"

"Bye mate." She said as she walked back.

I instantly went to shower. I was in there for less then a second before my phone started ringing. I hopped out and grabbed my phone. I answered with out looking at the caller id.

"Hello?"

"Hey babes what's up?"

"Hey dad! I'm just headin in the shower before dinner. Is it okay if I have dinner with the neighbours?" He waited for a moment before replying.

"Sure bud. Why not?" I was a little too happy.

"Thanks dad gatta go! Bye!" I hung up before he could reply and got back in the shower. I'm so excited!

About 15 minutes later I got out of the shower and threw on jean shorts and a blink-182 tee. I also put my long purple hair into a messy bun so I could do my make up. I got everything out and sat down only to hear the door bell, again. I walked to the door and opened it to see another girl who was a bit younger then the first one.

"Can I help you?" She looked a little surprised by me talking.

"Wow your American!" I let out a little chuckle to her response.

"Uh yeah. Came straight from New York. So what can I do for you?"

"Well I'm Alice but my friends call me Al. Any ways are you going to the local school?" She said all in one breathe.

"Uh yeah I think" I stuck out my hand for her to shake.

"I'm Tale" she looked down at my hand then to me. She took my hand after a few seconds and shook it.

"Cool name. So I usually drive there with my boyfriend and his three friends if you want to join us. I live across the street and my boyfriend lives next to you." I thought about driving to school with a complete group of strangers after only meeting one.

"Yeah sure why not!" Her face lit up with my words.

"Great! I'll text you tomorrow morning when I'll pick you up!" We exchanged numbers then she headed off. Now I only had an hour and a half to get ready.

I ran back to my room an tried to slide in my chair by my vanity but fell off. Takes skill to do that. I got back up and applied my foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara and some nude lipstick. I took my hair down so it could dry and I picked out my outfit. I pulled out some ripped skinnies and left my tee on. I pulled on my black docks and put on some perfume. I checked myself in the mirror and I was okay with how I looked. My hair was already getting the little waves and curls it has.

After all that the clock said 6:40 so I had 20 minutes to spare. The Skype icon piped up on my computer so I answered. Pretty soon too idiots appeared on my screen.

"Tale! Your hair is purple!" My best friend Natalie yelled threw the computer.

"Yeah thanks for noticing" I said with a small chuckle.

"Hey Collin!"

"Hey T! I miss you babes!"

"Miss you too. Not really Nat cuz well she didn't say she misses me." I said with a serious face. Natalie looked hurt but soon started laughing.

"I MISS YOU!!" She yelled threw the screen. I could hear her mom in the background telling her to shut up which caused me and Collin to laugh.

"I would love to talk to you guys more but I have to go to my new neighbours for dinner in like" I paused to look at my phone to see it read 6:59. "Now! I gatta go! Woves yous bye!" I said hanging up with out waiting for a response.

I grabbed my keys and phone and walked out to my porch. I locked the door and headed down the drive way and next door. I knocked twice and waited for someone to open up. It was quiet chilly for summer. Pretty soon Mali opened the door.

"Tale! How do you not have a jacket on in winter?" She said while hugging me and leading me inside.

"But it's summer." My answer caused her to laugh.

"Our seasons are different then in America. Anyways-" she lead me to what looks like the kitchen.

"Guys this is Tale. Tale this is Calum, my brother, and his three best friends. Luke, Ashton, and Michael. I stepped out from behind her to see three giants in front of me.

"Hi."
