part 9 - the stream

i hesitantly opened my eyes to see a beam of light streaming into my bedroom from the open window.  it's too early for this. i shifted around in the bed and checked the clock on my table.  9:27am. feeling movement on the other side, i turned around to see george sitting up and leaning against the head board.

"welcome to the day mr. not found." i yawned.

"good morning ms. red sweater." he said back, giving me a soft smile.

"so... today's the day."

"yep, it sure is."

"are you nervous?"

"not at all! i'm really excited actually. and i'm sure our announcement won't phase everyone, they probably saw it coming from a mile away. are you nervous?"

"i'm not nervous to actually tell everyone, i'm just a little bit on edge at what the feedback will be. like, if they disapprove of us being together or something."

"y/n, it doesn't matter if they disapprove or not. all that matters is that we're both happy together. everything will be okay."

he pulled me into his arms and gave me a kiss on the forehead. i laid my head on his shoulder and returned the hug. we stayed there for a couple minutes in silence. george patted my back a couple times and we both pulled away.

"you want to go get breakfast?" i asked him. i was starving.

"i'd love to." he said smiling.

we stood up from the bed and i slipped into george's hoodie from yesterday. we went out to the kitchen to see clay and nick trying to pick out a cereal to eat. i walked over to them and grabbed the box of froot loops.

"good morning children," i said smirking.

"you're barely older than us, shut up." sapnap said.

"i've got 3 years on you. and one year on clay. so suck it."

"what when was i brought into this." clay questioned.

"doesn't matter. i'm older than both of you so you can't tell me to shut up."

"shut up." george said jokingly.

"fair enough." i said back to him.

"baby."

we all glanced at each other and then to him and widened our eyes.

"what? oh my god. I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT ASSHOLES."

we all laughed at his outrage. i opened the cupboard and grabbed some bowls for all of us. after handing them out, i poured my cereal and some milk and began eating.

"so guys, what should we do today?" i asked. "and when should we stream?"

"we could just hang out here together and then stream at around one?

"alright. that's settled. everyone good with that?"

george and nick both nodded their heads as they took a bite of their cereal. 

I finished the last few bites of my cereal and got up from the table.

"I'm going to take a shower, don't come into the bathroom because i will not hesitate to throat kick any of you. and I played rep soccer as a kid. so watch it." I said as I put my bowl and spoon into the dishwasher. they laughed at me as I walked down the hallway to the bathroom.
