Chapter 2 Part 2

(Skye POV)

My head hit the pillows as I thought about the recent events. The three are vampires... why am I not surprised though? I grabbed a tennis ball and tossed it into the air, catching it... tossing it up... catching it.  I warm up to paranormals more than I do with humans... My eyes moved towards the window and the full moon outside. As long as there is a moon shining brightly, my next day will be better.

Children were running around the park. There were dilapidated swings and fallen trees. A little girl caught a butterfly and walked over to a couple.

"Mummy, can I keep it?"

"No." The lady chuckled. "Let it go. It needs to live life to the fullest."

"Here mummy, a flower for you!" Sithandra held up a crimson rose.

"Sithandra, let's go now." The man chuckled and clasped his hand with the little girl's.

I sat up from the bench and walked over to the lady, placing my shoulder on her. She gasped and turned to face me. The rose fell from her hand and withered away.

I felt like I was looking into a mirror.

"I... you're... wait... me?"

She gave me a warm smile before her eyes flash bright blue.

"I'll be seeing you soon." She walked away

"Wait!" I rushed forward and tripped. My foot dug into the ground and sunk. I frantically grabbed onto whatever I could from falling.

Too late... The darkness consumed and I forever fell into a sinkhole.

...

...

...

My eyes flickered open to find myself in an empty room.

"Sithandra, let's go." The man held his briefcase.

"What about mummy?"

"She's not coming..." He hesitated.

"Why not?" The girl cried.
