Chapter 12: One Way

(Skye POV)

I walked to Luke's house after starting the project with Kyle. Jai opened the door and told me that Luke was in his room and that he was busy with something.

"Hey Luke I wanted to ask you something..." I stopped short when I found Luke on top of

Lily.

"Oh hey Skye, is Luke your boyfriend?" Tiffany smirked.

"Ex-boyfriend." I slammed the door.

"Wait Skye!" Luke called out.

I walked down the stairs and Beau blocked my path.

"Yeah... There was something Luke had been hiding throughout the course of your relationship with him. He dated you to make Tiffany jealous when they broke up." Beau looked to the side.

I walked past him.

"Jai, if you break Aluna's heart. I break your face." I cracked my knuckles.

"Bye guys!" I walked out of the door.

Through wind walk, I ran over to the one place I knew I could feel better and get comfort.

"Hey Skye? Have you been crying?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah..." I sobbed.

"Here." Kyle pulled me into a hug.

"Don't leave me like the others did." I blurted without thinking.

"Who are the others if Luke is the only one who left you?"

This is going to be one long story...   

"Ok, tell me from the beginning then."

"I can't..." I rubbed my eyes. "My life is decaying. I can't handle that half my life is gone and that my other half is decaying fast." "Wait what? Slow down!"

"Don't leave me too." I hugged him tight.

"Don't worry I won't." Kyle rubbed circles on my back.

"Kyle?"

"Yeah?"

"There's something I wanted to tell you 14 years ago and I still haven't changed my mind about it."

"Hm?"

"I still like you." I fidgeted with my fingers. "I feel like I can share anything with you easily whereas with Luke I was too scared to even bring about my powers."
