Hawks woke up in an unfamiliar room. He was alone and Boba wasn't with him. It was dark, way too dark. He wanted to cry. He wasn't supposed to cry. He's not a baby he's a hero he can handle the dark and being alone.

Tears filled his eyes and soon fell down his cheeks. He wanted to run out of the room and find somewhere to hide but he couldn't move. It was too dark. Too scary.

"Morning Birdie." Dabi smiled, tussling Hawks' hair, then he saw the tears, "What's wrong?"

"Dark." Hawks cried.

"It's okay, Kid." Dabi replied.

Dabi quickly turned on the light and sat down next to Hawks. Still feeling intimidated by the new space Hawks climbed onto Dabi's lap and hid his face in the man's shoulder. Dabi was warm and safe, just like Touya was.

"Did you have an accident last night?" Dabi asked.

Hawks squirmed a little, finally noticing the uncomfortable feeling of a wet pull-up, "No."

"Alright, then you wouldn't mind me checking." Dabi said, checking Hawks before he could even respond, "Hawks, you're soaked."

"Not." Hawks pouted.

"Just let me change you then we can go get some breakfast in your little tummy." Dabi tickled Hawks' stomach and the boy squealed.

"Sto-op it!" Hawks giggled, pushing Dabi's hands away, "No tickwes!"

"Alright Birdie, let's get you cleaned up." Dabi said, picking the boy up and setting him on his hip.

Hawks held on to Dabi, afraid that he might fall. He felt uneasy, surely soon Dabi would stop caring so much and kick him out, or torture him for information, or punish him for acting like such a baby. But Dabi had been so nice, and he helped fix his wings. Dabi wouldn't hurt him.

But he isn't supposed to be little. He needed his suppressants.

"Need my suppressants." Hawks mumbled.

"No you don't." Dabi replied, "It's not good for you take them as much as you do."

"But I need to be big! I can't be little!" Hawks cried.

Dabi shook his head and held Hawks a little tighter, "No, Baby, you need to be little right now. Just let me take care of you."

"Just let me take care of you."

Hawks could feel hot tears forming in his eyes and he buried his face into Dabi's shoulder in an attempt to hide them. But even if he could hide the tears, the memories still came flooding back into his mind.

Hawks sat on his bed staring at his shoes. Touya was reading on his bed, when he noticed his usually talkative roommate's prolonged silence. Hawks wasn't usually so quiet but he had a lot to think about.

"Hey, Bird Brain!" Touya called out, he stopped when he noticed Hawks' expression, "What's wrong, kid?"

"They're gonna put me on suppressants." Hawks explained vaguely.

"They can't do that." Touya growled, "Suppressants aren't safe for kids."

Hawks looked down at his shoes, "They're still gonna. I'm not supposed to be little, but I can't help it. They have to stop it somehow. It's okay."

"No Keigo." Touya snapped, the shorter boy flinched a little, "It's not okay. You need to regress. They can't just ignore your needs. They can't put you on an unsafe medication because you're a little."

Hawks felt his eyes filling with tears. He couldn't cry, not now. He had to stay big, heroes are supposed to be big. Hawks is big. He doesn't need to be little, he shouldn't need to be on suppressants.

"Shh. It's okay." Touya spoke up, "You don't have to be big Keigo."

Hawks broke into a fit of sobs. He couldn't stay big anymore. Someone was touching him. He could feel it. Touya. Hawks could feel the warmth radiating off of his body. Touya pulled Hawks into his lap and hugged him, gently rocking side to side. Hawks let it happen, he wasn't supposed to but he did.

"Let it all out baby." Touya whispered, "I've got you. It'll be alright, just let me take care of you. It's okay Baby Bird. You don't have to be big any more."

"Dada!" Hawks sobbed, burying his face into his friends chest.

"It's okay. Daddy's here." Touya rocked Hawks back and forth, calming him down until he fell asleep, "Daddy's here, Baby Bird."

Hawks missed his daddy. He made everything better. He always did, no matter what. Why did they have to take him away? He needed Touya.

"You still with me Birdie?" Dabi asked, pulling the hero out of his thoughts.

"Huh?" Hawks looked up at the taller man, confused.

"Ya spaced out kid." Dabi told Hawks as he set the little down.

"Oh. 'm sorry." Hawks apologized, sniffling and wiping his eyes.

"Don't be sorry, it's not a big deal." Dabi replied, grabbing a few changing supplies, "What were you thing about?"

"Nothin'." Hawks answered.

"Okay." Dabi sighed.

He didn't want to push Hawks any further. It was apparent that whatever it was had been making Hawks upset, but the last thing he needed was to be reminded of whatever it was he had been thinking about. It would only make the boy more upset.

Dabi gently nudged the little to tell him to lie down, "I need you to sit still for a minute, alright. If you sit still this won't take long."

"Promise?" Hawks asked, already feeling rather uncomfortable with the situation.

"Yeah, I promise." Dabi smiled, "once we're done I'm sure Toga will have made you breakfast. She's all about becoming your big sister, Kid."

Hawks giggled, "I wike her."

"You do?"

Hawks nodded, "Uh huh. Nice. Gives me cookies. But..." His voice trailed off.

"But what, Baby?" Dabi asked.

"But she loud." Hawks said.

Dabi laughed, "Can't say I disagree. Well, you're all done."

Hawks hadn't even noticed that Dabi had changed him. He was too distracted. How had Dabi done that? Sure he wasn't thinking about it but he would have noticed right?

"So do you want to see what Toga made you or not?" Dabi asked, picking Hawks up again.

Hawks smiled, "Breakfast!"
