I sit on my bed and I watch Austin go through my clothes shaking his head and sighing.
"What?" I ask and he glances at me.
"Nothing, just that some of your clothes are... ridiculous," he tells me and I shrug.
"That's what you think," I retort.
"That's what a normal person thinks," he tells me and I drop onto the bed and sigh.
"I can just dress myself," I said.
"No, no," he waves me off. "Let me work my magic," he adds and I stare at the ceiling. "So..." he says. "Why are you letting me dress you so easily?" He asks.
"Why not," I shrug and he laughs.
"Come on Jo, be real," he says. "I like dressing you up, you don't like to dress up," he points out. "Why?"
I stare at the ceiling not answering for a second. The real reason was because I wanted to look good for Sam... and I wanted to show him I'm not a bummer and I can look good and go out and do the whole, party thing.
"I just wanna look nice," I shrug. "Is that so hard to believe?"
"Yes," he laughs. "Is it for Sam!?" He wiggles his eyebrows at me and I sigh.
"Shut up," I said and he smirks.
"It is!" He exclaims. "That's so cute Jo!"
"Don't Austin," I point a finger at him. "I'll cut you."
"Okay, okay, calm yourself," he waves me off. "What do you think of this?" He pulls out a black skirt and a tight tank top.
"A skirt!? That's too far," I shake my head.
"Jo! You told me I could pick," he says. "You can wear some cute stockings and your vans!" He tells me. "But come on, this skirt, with this top," he says.
"Can I change the top?" I ask.
"With?" He asks giving me a look.
"Something less tight," I go to my closet. "Graphic tee," I grab my Avengers graphic tee.
"But you have to tuck it in," he tells me.
"Mhm," I wave him off.
"Come on, now try it," he chirps. "Do you have stockings!?" He asks.
"I have these," I mumble. "But... I don't know, can't I wear pants?" I ask.
"You said you want to look good Jo," he puts his hands on his hips. "So come on!"
"God, fine," I mutter.
I change into the clothes and it was not a comfortable outfit. I pull at the skirt and turn to Austin.
"I don't know," I said. "I don't need to look that good."
"But Jo," he grins. "You looking smoking... hot," he points out. "Go look," he points to the mirror.
I go over to the mirror and look at myself in it. I looked like a different person... not exactly an outfit I would pick out. But I couldn't say I looked bad. It looked nice... I guess. But I know I would be pulling at the skirt all night long. But beauty if pain right?
Plus... it's not like I ever dress up, maybe this will be nice. I'm sure Sam will like it.
"Hot right?" Austin comes up behind me and I sigh.
"Is it too much?" I ask.
"Bitch, if a LBD isn't too much for these girls in our school, this is not too much," he states and I sigh. "Come on... Sam will love it too!"
"Yeah, yeah," I wave him off. "I'm bringing a sweater just in case," I add.
"Fine," he nods. "And keep your hair down."
"I was going to," I push him away and he laughs.
"Yay! You look so nice!" He squeals and I go over to my shoes and grab my vans.
Hopefully, Sam notices that I'm not a bummer. I can have fun.About an hour later, Andrew showed up to the house and Austin and I went out to his car.
I open the passenger door and Andrew was looking at me.
"What?" I ask getting into the seat and he just stared for a minute before shaking his head.
"Sorry," he says. "Um hey.." he drifts.
"Hi, weirdo," I said. "You okay!?" I ask.
"Yeah... yeah," he nods and he starts driving.
"Did you notice how good she looks?" Austin butts in and I look back at Austin rolling my eyes. "Cause she looks hot."
"Yeah, you look nice," he says and I shrug. "I'm surprised you even own a skirt though," he adds.
"Shut up," I mumble and he laughs. "Seriously, don't talk about it."
"I'm not judging you!" He shakes his head. "You look good."
"Ew, don't say that either," I say.
"What do you want me to say then!?" He asks.
"Just face the fact Jo, you look SEXY!" Austin says and I shake my head.
"Please... let's not talk about me," I said.
"You know if I looked like you... I'd have all the confidence and I'd want all the attention," Austin sighs. "What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing, I'm normal, you're just an attention whore," I remark and he laughs.
"Trueeee," he says.
