The eighteen-year-old walked across the stage, waving at her family below. The eighteen-year-old lifted her chin, leaving a broad smile planted on her face. Something was missing, her great grandfather. He and her mother hadn't shown up, leaving her isolated. The large metal doors opened, her mother stepping inside. She was alone, only giving the eighteen-year-old a slight wave. He was nowhere in sight.
