Chapter 13

"Hello Love." That voice made me want to throw up in my mouth. I knew the voice was from my ex boyfriend. He was an abusive one at that. I left him a couple months before I met Emily and got the job at the BAU. "No no no no no no." I whispered under my breath over and over. I looked over and saw the tall brown haired man who hurt me for so long. I took my gun and pointed it straight at him knowing that if i didn't he might try something. "Axel, leave." I said trying to hide my fear. "Em, go take Kai and Penelope into Aarons office and see what progress they've made with Doyle, I'll take care of this." I said not wanting my friends or my kid to get caught in the crossfire. As Emily, Penelope and Kai were leaving the conference room and walking to Aaron's office Axel's eyes narrowed and he looked confused. "Since when do you have a kid!" He screamed at me and I flinched in fear. Once they were inside his office I said, "After my sister and her husband died I got custody of her kid, he has nothing to do with this." I didn't want him to know about Kai but i guess now he did. "YOU BITCH," he screamed while walking towards me. I flinched and dropped my gun, before I could pick it up he slapped me across the face. "YOU REALLY THINK I BELIEVE THAT! HES MINE ISN'T HE!" He screamed in my face just as Derek walked in. Axel punched me and the face and threw me against a wall. Before he could do anymore damage Derek pulled him off me and cuffed him. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!" he screamed at Derek "You're under arrest for Assault on a Federal Agent."  Derek continued reading him his rights and took him into one of the interrogation rooms. I was on the floor crying, it hurt because I used to love that man but I just couldn't handle the abuse. Emily came running out of Aaron's office when she saw me on the floor. She sat next to me and wrapped her arms around me. Before I could say anything, Hotch walked over to us. "Prentiss we need to go get Doyle now." he said. I went to go with them but he stopped me. "Stella spend some time with Kai and Penelope. You can help Emily do the interrogations when we get back with Doyle." He said. I walked up to his office and played with Kai until before I knew it, they were back with Ian Doyle in handcuffs. "Mom is that a bad guy?" Kai asked me as he looked out Hotch's window. "Yes baby that's the man who made Emily go away. He can't hurt any of us, I promise buddy." I said. I knew that one of the only reasons Doyle didn't go straight to a max prison was because we needed to find his son Declan. He went missing from his home where he lived with his Nany. Emily put him there after she faked their deaths to protect them from Doyles people and Doyle himself. As time passed I decided to stay with Kai while Emily interrogated Doyle. The door opened and there stood Emily. "Stella we need to go, we found out where and how to get Declan back. But, when we do get Declan I'm taking him in." She said. I smiled at her and picked up Kai. "Kai baby we're gonna take you to Auntie Penelope's office but I'll be back soon I promise." I said as we were walking to penelopes 'lair' I dropped him off and before I knew it the team and I were on our way to an air strip where Declans Biological Mom wanted to Lure out Doyle. Like a flash we were using Doyle as a bargaining chip to get Declan back home safe, and then Declans Biological Mom, Her Friend and Doyle were dead. Declan latched onto Emily. We all went back to the Office and as soon as we walked out of the elevator Kai ran to me. "Mommy!" I picked him up. "Hi baby." I said and looked at Emily. "Em do you have a place to stay while you're here?" I asked. She shook her head and looked down at Declan. "You guys can stay with us. Em I still have all your stuff." She smiled and looked at Declan again. "Declan how would you feel about living with Stella, her son Kai and I?" She asked. "I mean sure you're already like a Mom to me." he said. Kai looked at me curiously. Declan was a good 5 years older then Kai. I let Kai down and he immediately went over to Declan. They started talking and I told them to go to the conference room and Em and I went into Hotch's office. I started cleaning up Kai's toys before Emily grabbed my shoulder. It caused me to stand up and turn around. As soon as I did she kissed me with full force and passion, like she had been waiting years to do it and if I'm being honest, I felt the same way.
