Chapter one

Alex's pov* *trigger warning for abuse*
"For once in your life can't you do anything right like for fuck sake you stupid bitch" said my boyfriend Zack as he pushed me to the ground to pick up the glass that I accidentally dropped on the floor because he tripped me.
"Maybe if you wouldn't have tripped me I wouldn't have broken the cup" I mumbled hoping that he didn't hear me so I don't get in trouble for back talking. It wasn't always like this he used to be a good guy you know for a little bit until my soccer career took off I don't know to be honest.
"What was that" asked Zack as he grabbed me by my hair and pulled me off the floor. I just wish someone would notice the situation I'm in but I know I can't necessarily tell anyone because I know he would seriously hurt me.
"N-nothing I was j-just saying that I h-have to leave soon f-for soccer A-Ali and Ashlyn a-are picking me up we have to b-be at t-the airport soon" I lied well kind of I do have to leave soon because ash and Ali will be here in like 5 minutes since they don't live to far from me.
"Ugh I don't know why you hang out with a bunch of dykes anyways I don't know why you still play soccer it's not like you are any good the newbies are probably 20 times more better than you. By way I did hear what you said earlier and you know the rules Alex." said Zack as he went to our room and grabbed a belt and then came back into the living room to were I was standing with my shirt off facing away from him as I mentally prepared myself for the beating I was about to get. Man do I wish Ashlyn and Ali would hurry up and get here.
"How many times have I told you not to talk back to me" said Zack as he started hitting my back with the belt but I knew better than to answer his question or else it would be worse for myself and then I won't be able to play soccer for a while.
"ALEX YOU READY WE NEED TO GO" shouted Ashlyn as she knocked on the door. Thank god she got here when she did thank you Ash.
"Y-YES" I shouted back trying to cry in pain.
"Go get out of here before you are late but take my jacket with you and try not to be to obvious that you are in pain we don't need anyone asking questions" said Zack as he handed me his jacket the was pretty big just in case the blood went through my shirt.
"Hey girly you okay" asked Ashlyn as she took in my appearance i probably look like shit.
"Yeah I'm fine  " I answered hoping that she wouldn't question me any further.
" Okay just asking now let's get going before we are late getting there" said Ashlyn as she grabbed my things and put them in her trunk and we got in the car and left.
"It's only a four hour plane ride there Ash" said Ali as she started the car and drove off.
Tobin's pov*
"Hey press is everything okay" I asked Christen as I walked into hers and Mals hotel room.
"Yeah everything is fine why" answered Christen who was currently typing pretty quickly on her phone.
"You do realize you are a very terrible liar" I laughed as I sat down at the desk.
"Yes well for your information you suck anyways do you know who's rooming with Hope" said Christen as she threw her phone on the floor making me look at her confused.
"Um no but is there a reason as too why you are throwing your prized possession on the floor like that" I asked.
"It's Alex as in your best friend Alex" said Christen.
"Okay I didn't realize we knew another soccer player named alex anyways what's wrong with her rooming with hope I thought they were some what friends" i asked a little confused.
"Nothing is wrong with her rooming with hope I'm just thinking of how much trouble Emily and Kelley are gonna get into with the amount of pranks they like to pull on Alex" explained Christen.
"Nah Alex flipped shit last time they pranked her like she promised she would break them at practice which I honestly don't doubt" I explained.
"Ahh yes I heard some of that yelling I was honestly scared for my safety for a second" said Christen thinking back on when Kelley and Emily pranked Alex.
"What time did krashlyn say they were gonna get here" I asked wanting to chill with Ashlyn for a little.
"They should be here soon" said Christen.
"MOTHER" shouted Mal as she barged into the room.
"Well looks like she's here for you and not for me this time which is great" I laughed as I stood up and left the room.
"TOBITO THE BURRITO" shouted Kelley as she ran up to me and jumped on me.
"Kelley we are in a hotel shut the fuck up also what did I say about you calling me that don't you have somewhere to be or oh I don't know texting your girlfriend" I said annoyed as I pushed her off of me.
"Hope is busy" pouted Kelley.
"For the last time we all know that hope isn't your girlfriend" I said.
"Yeah I know but I'm single now because me and Ana broke up something about how I travel to much" said Kelley.
"Oh well damn that sucks" I said.
"Yep anyways I have got to go Emily needs some help pranking Rose so I will be back if I'm not dead" said Kelley as she ran off.
Megan's pov*
"Aye yo it's my bestie" I said as I jumped on Ashlyn's back.
"Pinoe please don't jump on her back you could seriously hurt her and I don't care what Sue says or how much she begs me not too I will kill you if she gets injured " said Ali as she grabbed a suitcase from Ashlyn.
"So who's rooming with who" asked Ashlyn.
"Well Ali I'm sorry to say this but you are rooming with tobito the burrito which is room 369 ha gay, Ash you are rooming with Emily which is 360 and Alex is rooming with the scariest person ever" I answered as I hopped off Ashlyn's back.
"Who's that you" asked Ashlyn as she shoved me.
"Nope it's hope which is room 370 which is away from most of the team since we all know hope doesn't like to much noise" I answered as I got off her back.
"Hmm I figured Kelley would be rooming with her like always" mumbled Alex which is strange.
"Hey now the only one on this team that should be mumbling here is warrior princess over here" I laughed.
"Rude anyways we need to get going I'm pretty sure coach told me something about a small practice really quick" said Ali as they got signed into the hotel.
"Nah that's tomorrow she just wants us to get settled in and get all our chit chat out of the way before we do practice" I said.
"Hmm okay that's fine" said Ali.
"Yo ash do you want to chill for a little bit" asked Tobin as she did her famous handshake with Ash.
"Sure let me just put my stuff into my room really quick" said Ashlyn as she walked off with Tobin.
"I think I'm just going to stay in my room and I don't know chill in the shower or something" said Alex as she walked to her room.
"Is she okay" I asked a little confused about her behavior because normally she'd be in the field for a little bit to make sure she's in good shape.
"To be honest I'm not sure Ashlyn said when she went to let her know that we had to go it looked like she's been crying so she probably got into a fight with Zack before getting here" explained Ali.
"I don't even know why she's still with him he's a complete and utter dick" I said.
"Yeah well he might be great to her ash is a dick sometimes but she's pretty great to me" said Ali.
"Yeah okay" I said as I went to go bother the rest of the team.
Hope's pov*
"Hey hope I'm just gonna chill in the shower for a little bit" whispered Alex as she closed the door. I wonder if she's okay she just looks so emotionally and mentally exhausted which won't be good for the team but Ill keep an eye on her and probably talk to the rest of the team at some point to see if they have noticed anything different about her.
"Yeah that's fine the rest of the team were planning on going out to eat later if you wanted to join" I offered.
"No that's fine I'm in pain and I'm just tired besides I'm expecting a call from Zack sometime soon so he can ask who's my roommate and all that I'll probably grab something from the hotel cafeteria or something" explained Alex as she took off the jacket at left to the bathroom but when she did I noticed a lot of blood on the back of her shirt holy shit didn't she come in with Ali and Ash what if they did something I better go find them. But then again what if it's nothing and I'm making a big deal out of nothing I mean I know Ashlyn and Ali are pretty close with Alex but I don't think they would hurt her or what if she just fell or something ugh damn it hope think.
"Hey Hope" I heard Alex call for me in the bathroom.
"Yes is everything okay" I asked concerned.
"Um do you have any medicine for cuts and do you had any bandages" asked Alex nervously.
"Can I come in and see how bad they are or do you not want me too I promise not to ask questions for now"I said as I wiped my hands on my shorts.
"Come in but please don't ask questions"answered Alex.
"Okay let's see how bad these cuts are" I said gently.
"Let me just grab a towel" said alex as I see her arm come out of the shower and grab a towel and after a few seconds she comes stepping out of the shower.
"Okay it's just us girls here so let's not be too embarrassed about seeing each other with no clothes on in case you forgot we all share locker rooms" I said trying to ease the tension in the room.
"True" said Alex as she lowered her towel and turned so that I can see how bad her back is.
"Oh my god Alex you do realize you are going to have to sit out of practice for a while until these heal right" I said as I looked at the welts on her back they look like they could be from a belt but who the hell would hit alex.
"Can't we just patch them up and please we both know the amount of questions I'm going to get if I sit out on practice please Hope don't make me sit out I need to get better or else I'll play worse than I've already been playing" begged Alex.
"Alex you are not a bad player you are pretty damn great at soccer you scare goalkeepers Alex it doesn't matter if you are scoring or not you are a lethal striker now I'll be right back I'll stop at Walmart and grab a few things that way dawn won't ask me any questions" I said.
"Okay" said Alex.
"Just borrow one of my shirts at the moment I don't care if it gets ruined I promise" I said as I grabbed my car keys and left.
Christen's pov*
"Hey hope where are you going" I asked when I noticed her leaving the hotel.
"Um I'm going to Walmart really quick not that it's any of your business" said hope.
"True true but can I come with you please there's only so much of Mals calculus homework I can handle I promise I won't be in your way or anything" I said hoping she'd let me go because I'm pretty sure Sydney said she needed to talk to me about something probably involving Tobin.
"Fine but don't stay to far from me I need to be able to easily come get you so we can leave okay" said Hope.
"Okay bet" I said as we got into the car.
"Is Alex still in your room" I asked as we drove out of the parking lot.
"Yeah she wanted to take a nap something about Zack and his friends were over partying all night or some shit why do you ask was Jill or dawn looking for her or something" answered Hope.
"Nah apparently Ali noticed that alex seemed to be in pain on the flight and was wondering if alex has said anything about it or if she was going to miss practice tomorrow" I explained.
"She took a warm shower when she got into the room and then told me that she just wanted to get some sleep by the way while you guys go out to eat can you bring me and alex something to eat she said she was going to get something from the hotel cafeteria but we all know how gross the food is sometimes" explained Hope.
"Yeah that's fine I'm pretty sure the girls wanted to go to in&out for dinner before we all had to start eating healthy" I explained as we pulled into the Walmart parking lot.
"I mean they do have great food now try not to draw any attention everyone of our fans seem to think you are a cinnamon roll which eh I kinda see it but I just want to grab the things I need and then leave okay because I have something I need to take care of before practice tomorrow" said Hope.
"Are you gonna come with me or not press I don't have all day" asked Hope who was near the front of the store already.
"Yes fuck I'm sorry I got lost in my own little world" I said as we walked into the store.
"Yeah I could see that anyways what's the deal with Alex boyfriend do you know anything about him has she told you anything" asked hope as we walked to the medicine isle.
"No not really but from what Megan tells everyone is that he's a dick I think she caught wind of his and Alex's arguments or something I'm not really sure to be go you might have to ask Sydney or krashlyn since they are on the Orlando pride with her they might know more than I do but who knows because alex doesn't really say anything about this dude why is something wrong" I asked wondering what could have happened between them.
Alex's pov*
"Who are you rooming with" asked Zack as we spoke on the phone.
"I'm staying with Hope" I answered nervously.
"Does she know about the bruises and your back" asked Zack.
"No she doesn't she normally keeps to herself she asked me what's wrong earlier because normally I practice some of my shots when I get to the hotel but I just said I was too tired" I explained hoping he wouldn't ask anymore questions.
"Whatever now remember don't hang out with Ali, Ashlyn, Kelley, and Megan do you under me" said Zack.
"Are you fucking stupid we are on the same team and who cares if I hang out with them you hang out with all your friends" I said as I hung up the phone.
"Hey I'm back are you ready for me to put some medicine on your back" asked Hope as she dumped all the things on the bed.
"Yeah as ready as I'll ever be but please be gentle" I whispered as I took the shirt off and laid on my stomach on my bed as Hope fixed me up as much as possible so that I'll be able to practice tomorrow morning.
"Alright we are all done also here's some food for you we can just chill in here and talk as too why you have belt marks on your back now is Zack abusing you alex" asked Hope gently.
"N-No I was just attacked by some guy at a bar that I went to with Zack" I answered trying not to sound as nervous as I felt.
"Alex sweetie are you sure" asked Hope.
"Yes I'm sure I promise I'm not getting abused" I answered.
"You do realize I can tell that you are lying right if I can see through Carli's bullshit that I can easily tell that you are lying" explained Hope.
"I don't know if I can tell you the truth Hope" I said hoping she would stop questioning me right now.
"Fine I'll stop asking you questions for now but let's get some sleep we've both had a really long day okay" said hope as she got into her bed.
"Goodnight hope" I whispered then texted Zack goodnight.
