After a while the cold makes you numb, you feel invincible as if nothing else in the world can hurt you any more than the suffering you feel in that moment. In just a pair of denim jeans and a pair of boots I found in a dumpster off in the alleyway, where the homeless men roam. Their eyes hazy in a grey mist. Perhaps I was no different. Who am I to judge? By now my shaggy hair was dripping with water sliding off the sides. It camouflaged nicely in the dead of the night. No one saw me nor heard my despair. In a time like this the only way of communicating was through my eyes. They reflected on my past and told the story of who I am or you could say, who I use to be. Unfortunately there's no one left for me in this world, I have nothing left family, friends ,shelter, food and money. Right now you can say I am as good as dead. There was no one and nowhere left for me to go back to. But there was one and that's the only place I could go to. I never thought this is where I would end up one day. It was the orphanage or should I say," Goliad's Orphanage for the Unfortunate."
