As I stood there his smile dropped and he reached for a hug. I gave in and hugged him.

I let go of him and pushed the door all the way open then scooted to the side. I had no words all I could do is movements.

"Daddyyyyy!" Londyn yelled. Which made everyone cock there necks.

She ran over to him and he picked her up and put her in the air then hugged her.

"Merry Christmas." He said as he kissed her cheek.

"I missedt you." She said as he put her down.

"I missed you more baby." He responded.

Cortasia wobbled over and hugged him then smiled.

"How?" I asked.

He looked down at me.

"Long story." He said them shut the door. He greeted everybody else as I walked to my room in shock.

A few minutes later I heard a soft knock at the door.

"Come in." I said.

"We finna take Londyn on a walk while you and yo pops talk." Shawn said.

I shook my head. My daddy walked in as Shawn walked out. I heard the front door shut and then my dad sat down on the bed.

"I'm sorry." He apologized.

"You need to be. You "left" me here to raise Londyn my damn self like she came out my coochie. You don't know how many nights I sat up and cried & realized how hard it was go be. I had to quit school and move somewhere I didn't even have no attention on moving to!" I snapped.

"Look. I get where you coming from but it was for the safety of you and Londyn." He said.

"This anit no damn movie! It's always been just us three. Why? Why did you leave me for months thinking you was dead. I knew some was up from when the funeral casket was closed." I responded.

"Baby you doing so good with life. I like this new you. I been watching you since the beginning. I just been moving around a lot." He said.

"The reason I left is, that man that I was fighting. I found out he part of one of Detroit most dangerous gangs. You know that don't put no fear in me, it was either they kill me or you." He added on.

"Fuck that gang! You don't know how hard it was for me to start a whole new life. Only differences is I had and got a daughter. You don't." I said.

"What you mean Lenya?" He asked.

"Daddy you know you bogus. I get that it was a life or death situation but this was sooo hard for me. You can't just pop back up when you feel like it and except everything to be Loly Joly cause this not that." I responded.

"You can stay here for TWO nights. Just TWO and that's only for Londyn. After that you gotta go." I added on.

"Lenya. Listen. Yo momma still out there somewhere. That man still out there somewhere. I couldn't go no longer without y'all. Y'all safety is all that matter to me. Sooner or later they go find out we back in contact." He explained.

"Knowing them they probably already sent somebody. Be careful Lenya." He said then reached for a hug.

I hugged him and wiped the tears that was finna come down.
