"I'll go outside for a while, Sungmin-ah."

She tapped her cousin's shoulder and showed her phone. "Sis is at the parking lot. I'll just fetch her, 'kay?"

Sungmin hummed and sat at his usual spot. "Make it fast."

She nodded before opening the door of the office. As she did, a pin suddenly rolled against her sandals, making her pause. Her eyes automatically lifted up and there she saw in front of her this young man with such alluring features. Defined jaw, plump lips, perfectly messy hair.

Woah there, I'm not informed that a very handsome guy would be here!

"Is this yours?" she asked as she realized he was looking at the pin beside her feet.

What she received as a response was a look of shock and some unknown expression. Taking his silence as a yes, she then bent down, took the pin and took a closer look at it. It was a wolf-shaped pin and it looked somewhat old, yet well-maintained. She had never seen anything like it before. After examining it for a while, she extended her hand and offered the pin.

"Here," she smiled warmly, hoping it would somehow captivate a little bit of his attention. A little bit of his interest would be nice too.

"Oh... Uh... Thanks." he replied and received the pin.

Gosh, his voice sounds alluring too!

The door from the office at their right suddenly opened, catching both their attention. The handsome guy’s attention immediately shifted from her towards a woman--who looked undeniably pretty and graceful--came out of the said office. Even with her straight face, the woman was astonishing. Her straight jet black hair looked so silky that one could easily think she’s a shampoo commercial model.

"Oh, you have a different companion today." she heard the doctor from that office say. Not passing the opportunity for some juicy information, she then pretended to be busy on her phone to not make it obvious she’s eavesdropping.

"Yes... Uh, well, he is a mutual friend of both my brother and my boyfriend."

So he's not the boyfriend. This made her smirk.

"This is my psychiatrist, Dr. Im SoHyeon. Doc, this is our friend, Kim Jong In." the girl introduced.

They shook hands and exchanged a few words before the two left and the psychiatrist went back to her office. With her eavesdropping session done, she finally left to go fetch her sister although it was obvious she's already late for that.

"What took you so long?"

"Nothing, JiEun. Just... Just some fateful encounter." she mumbled with a dreamy smile. She clung her arms onto JiEun's and started walking back inside. "Sungmin's session has started. Come on."

JiEun's eyes squinted, eyeing her sister's weird behaviour. "Fateful encounter, huh?"

SoEun just smiled in return. Her eyes went hazy for a minute, thinking about that guy she just met as if it was a dream. A smile formed upon her lips but she tried her best to hide it for now. She can't afford letting her sister take notice of her weird behaviour for much longer.

Kim Jong In...

"Spill the tea, Kai."

Yojeung persuaded. "You've been weird since a while ago. Surely, something must have happened."

Kai sighed as he stopped his fidgeting fingers. He placed the utensils at the side of the plate as he pressed the bridge of his nose. "Can this be something just between the two of us?"
