The warm rays of the sun finally peeked through the clouds, waking up the sleeping earth to start a new day. The leaves were moist from the early morning fog, and the morning breeze was fresh and cool.

The ringing of an alarm hollered in the room.

Her arm reached towards the bedside table, searching for the alarm clock to turn it off. Her body was still enveloped with the warm fuzzy blankets when she decided to open her eyes. She blinked for a few times before taking the blanket off her body, deciding that her first destination is the comfort room to wash up and brush her teeth. After briefly combing her disheveled hair, she went inside and did her morning routine.

It took her 20 minutes to finish before coming out. From last night's sleepwear, she changed into sweaters and shorts, matching it with a pair of sneakers and airpods on her ears. She's ready for her morning jog.

She was in the middle of the staircase when her twin called out, "You're surprisingly early today, SoEun!"

She smiled at her twin and waited until her twin reached her, "Well, I promised not to skip today."

"Yup, that's good. 'Cause I was gonna drag you out of your bed if you haven't woken up yet."

SoEun chuckled at the threat. "It's kind of funny and scary how I know that you're very much capable of doing that, JiEun!"

Their laughter echoed in the living room as they were the only people there. They went to the kitchen, took some bread, spread some jam on it, then took off with the bread on their mouth --of course after returning the things they took out to where they belonged or else their father would surely reprimand them.

They started off by walking slowly, swinging their arms here and there. The air was chilly and only a few people can be spotted along the streets. When an old man riding a bike passed by them, they smiled and waved at each other. JiEun already knew him too well for they always met each other during this time of the day. When Jieun is jogging, the old man is biking.

Among the twins, JiEun is more athletic than SoEun. Probably because SoEun claims it takes too much of her energy which JiEun disregards saying she's just too lazy.

As they reached the park nearby, they did a few stretching before going on with their jog. More people could be spotted now who were also doing the same thing as them--jogging. Some were familiar faces, some were not. But all of them minded their own business.

The morning breeze that touched her face made JiEun feel refreshed and alive. She loved how her breath gets foggy as she heaved. After 10 minutes of their jogging, SoEun asked for a break who is now gasping for more oxygen in her lungs. It made JiEun laugh at her sister's face.

"Your stamina is getting low, sis. You're getting weak." she teased.

"You're just... you're just too strong!" she replied, calming her heart. "I can never beat a black belter!"

"I know you're lazy but don't forget to exercise. Your body needs it." she continued to tease her sister. SoEun scoffed and glared only to receive a sheepish smile from her twin.

SoEun then just rolled her eyes, brushing off her twin's teasing. She attempted to look for a nearby bench to sit when her eyes landed towards a familiar face.

"Oh!" she mumbled. "Lay."

"Lay?" JiEun raised an eyebrow, looking at her twin before following her line of sight.

"Yeah, that guy is Lay. You don't know him?"

JiEun's eyebrows met in confusion. "Should I know him?"
