Ronin turned on the outside camera and a very large, eight foot reptilian male filled the screen. Ronin grunted and clicked the microphone.

"Can I help you," he sighed. The reptilian looked towards the voice and cleared his throat, "I'm here on the behalf of the SBC, Burgess to be specific."

Ronin looks puzzled, but opens the hatch anyway.

We go to meet our visitor. The door opens and I instantly get hit with dejavu, the reptilian looks oddly at me as well. Ronin stands there with his brow raised assessing the moment.

"Jory what the fuck," I mumble in shock.

"Halo Black Shadow it's been ages," Jory chuckles and adds," You look different, rebirthed again eh."

"I could say the same, you look like your father," I pause and continue, "Without his human meat suit," I smirk.

Ronin clears his throat and we both look at him.

"I assume you both know each other," he grunted clearly annoyed.

"She dated my dad, back in the day, helped raise me from an egg, I consider her my mom," Jory beamed and winked at me. I grin but cringe internally when I see the jealousy swirling in Ronin's eyes.

"She's my mate and marked as well," Ronin growls. I put a hand on his arm.

"I have a past Ronin, as I'm sure you do as well." I look into his eyes, sighing he nods.

"This situation changes my original goal here," grunts Jory. We both look at him, expecting him to clarify.

"I was paid, double I might add, to dispose of your lover boy here," he raises a clawed hand to Ronin.

"How were you supposed to accomplish that," Ronin smirks. Jory grabs his duffel bag and pulls out an iridescent, infinity shaped object. Ronin instantly turns paler, if that was even possible.

"How did you get that," Ronin murmurs.

"Your buddy Burgess sent it to me, said to sneak up on you when you were distracted by your mate and snap it on your wrist." Ronin looks pissed as hell, his eyes have gone completely black.

"He will die," he growls.

"He's not the only one, he was dealing with a group, three others I believe," Jory confesses. Ronin stands, disappears and reappears with black gloves on his hands. "Give me the celestial bonds, I need to destroy them immediately," he orders Jory. Jory hands them to Ronin without hesitation. Ronin then disappeared again to God knows where.

"Damn Shady, that guys scary as fuck, I can see why he's a king," Jory groans.

"His bark is worse than his bite," I state. His bite is simply amazing moans my soul

"Are you happy Shady," Jory asks.

I nod my head and smile.

"How's your dad doing, Jory."

Jory grins, "Oh Admiral Neegan, is doing well, found his mate, got marked, mated and has a little egg on the way."

I chuckle at that.

"I'm glad Neegan deserves that title and I'm happy he found his mate. We ended things on good terms so I wished him no ill will."

"How'd you and the king meet."

I laugh and tell him the whole crazy story.

"Well shit Shady you're a queen now, can you make me royalty," Jory chuckles with an eyebrow raised. I laughed at his serious look but turned mortified when Ronin appeared and fell to the floor. He looked bad, really bad. His eyes and cheeks sunken in and his skin color a deathly gray shade. Tears began to fall from my eyes as I ran to his side. Ronin's eyes were slightly opened tracking my movements. My pod, take me please. His voice echoed in my mind, I glanced down at him and nodded.

"Jory, I'm going to need your help."
