Androids. Only a few years ago, that was something that people could only dream of. And now they were everywhere. Walking computers, at least that's how everyone first described them. Smarter, faster, and overall better than any human alive. How fascinating and scary at the same time. Crazy to think how one man with an idea could change the world in such a short time. Elijah Kamski, the creator of androids. Some even call him a god. Ridiculous.

Unsurprisingly, not everything stayed the way we envisioned it.  Androids broke out of their programming and became alive. They developed emotions, wishes, a conscience, a soul, you might say. Obviously, we humans couldn't just let them be free and live. No, we just had to fight against them. Against machines – even with emotions I will refuse to call them humans or people- who are way stronger than any human. How did anyone think we could win this fight? They only wanted freedom and after months of protests and demonstrations, they got what they wanted. The government stopped fighting against them and that was that. All of a sudden people had to get used to androids being free and being their own people instead of being our slaves. Obviously, a lot of humans had problems with that. "They are just machines!", "They will kill us all one day!", even 5 months after androids were officially recognized as their own people, some humans still believed and screamed those things. How stupid. A waste of time, honestly. There was no use fighting against them anymore.

Surprisingly there were also a lot of people who were convinced that yes, androids are not merely machines to obey us, humans. That those machines have feelings. What a weird thought.

Androids started to integrate more. Doing things that a human would do. Get their own home, work, travel, fall in love, and more. They are everywhere now. The coffee shop, the mall, the park, and even my neighbors are damn androids. I don't care what androids do. Why should I? Of course, my interest was peaked and I was curious and also impressed at some points, who wasn't? But in the end, I just need to be left alone but of course, the luck wasn't on my side. Which brings me back to the present:
