A

bout 10 feet away from me a hooded man stood. He was tall. I would estimate his height to be around 6'4. His shoulders looked broad in the leather jacket he wore and his face was hidden by his hood.

I took a whiff of the air around me. Subconsciously steeping closer to him. We were now 8 feet apart.

I didn't smell anything.

No scent of a human. No scent of a werewolf. Even vampires had a scent, although it's nasty. But he didn't.

I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion and my heart started thudding away in apprehension and alertness.

Only very trained werewolves can do this. It takes immense powers, years of training and practice to be able to do so. To be able to hide your smell.

Some drugs can do so as well, but they are banned now. Witches can no more make it and they are no longer available to werewolves. Simply because, it was in a long run, lethal.

There is no way he had no scent due to that drug.

"Who are you?" I asked, boldly. "What are you doing in The Moon Lake Pack? And how come you have no scent?"

He raised his head a bit. I could see faint stubble on his chin but that was it. He wore a cap that hide his facial features, and I couldn't see them no matter how hard I tried.

The only sound I could hear was of my breath as we stared at each other for about 10 seconds.

I was stiff. I didn't know what to do. Should I move forward and attack? Or will staying in a position of defense be a better decision? I had to make a decision fast.

As he made no move to attack, I did. I lunged forward with as much speed as I could, but the plan backfired as he didn't defend himself like I had expected him to. He didn't fight back.

Instead, he started running away.

"Coward." I screamed, as I started chasing him.

I truly had not expected him to run away from a fight. He looked like a strong wolf. He has to be one since he could even mask his scent. I am a good fighter and I have Alpha blood. That could perhaps mean that my wolf would be bigger than his. But that doesn't guarantee me a win.

He ran out of the woods and onto the main road, where there were a lot of humans. He avoided any alleyways, any places without humans. I understood what he was trying to do. He was trying to prevent me from shifting.

"Son of a bitch." I grumbled as he jumped to the top of a 3-storey building by climbing a tree easily with his tall stature.

I too, started climbing the tree, but I was slower than him. That frustrated me.

When I reached the rooftop, he was already on the rooftop of the adjacent building.

I clenched my fists in anger as I ran to the adge of the rooftop and leaped.

I had to put too much effort in jumping everytime, while he could do it effortlessly. It hurt my pride to see that.

Soon, he was not just a couple, but good 3-4 buildings ahead of me.

My hands and legs was filled with cuts which were already healing and I was panting like no tomorrow by then.

I didn't want to give up and tried to run to the edge of the building, but midway I stumbled and fell on my knees out of exhaustion.
