CHAPTER EIGHT ➳ SAFF.

It's after dinner, and the students are piling into the Great Hall in time for the champions to be announced for the Triwizard Tournament. Up to now, the only members of the group in the hall are Ellie, Draco and Rhianna. Draco sits in between the two girls, flirting with Rhianna's friend as the poor girl has to listen, cringing at her brother. Hermoine, Harry and Ron approach the three, and Rhianna thanks the lord she doesn't have to be alone with the awkward couple any longer.

The trio sit in the row in front, turning around to converse with Rhianna, Draco glaring at them before turning back to Ellie. Cho, Saff and George are the next to walk in, George galloping over to Rhianna to tell her a new idea for a prank, while Cho and Saff sit next to Hermoine, Saffron greeting her sister cheerily, despite everything going on. Cedric and his friends all approach the group, sitting in the back row next to George, who gives the possible champion a high five.

Finally, Fred walks in, slightly late. He scans the room, seeing the only available space with his friends being next to Ellie. He signs, before hesitantly heading over to the blonde and taking a seat next to her. Draco snarls, before scooching closer to the Hufflepuff who is unaware of the new boy sat next to her, as her head is stuffed in her favourite muggle book.

Ellie lifts her head, sensing a presence to her right. She turns her head and jumps, seeing the boy she loves sat next to her, an awkward half smile on his face.

"Oh, hi Freddi- erm I mean Fred." She smiles weakly and Fred signs, missing the nickname. He whispers a hi back, looking over at his brother who gives him an awkward look.

"Lets see which wimp gets chosen then. . .I could do a better job then any of these fools" Draco mumbles coldly, quickly reaching down for Ellie's hand. The blonde girl found herself accepting his grasp, still feeling awkward but growing to appreciate Draco's touch. At least he had the balls to show affection, unlike the boy on her other side.

Rhianna eyes the pair next to her, shaking her head knowingly. Her little brother was nothing but trouble, she couldn't quite believe that her childhood best friend was falling for this sweetheart act. Or in fact, that Ellie even took notice of Draco's long time crush on her. The whole situation rubbed the Gryffindor the wrong way, still feeling bad for the twin who was so obviously in love with her best friend.

"Please. You're lucky you're too young– you'd be an embarrassment." Rhi teases, before snapping her gaze back to the front where Dumbledore stood. Ellie couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the sibling teasing, causing Draco to grow even more embarrassed.

"Just wait until Father hears about you teasing me in front of my girlfriend, you won't get away with this!" he huffed, quieting down before the assembly began. Rhianna wasn't intimidated by her brother in the slightest, trying her hardest to hold back the small laugh that she was hiding .

Everyone whips their head around as they hear Draco refer to Ellie as his 'girlfriend.' Fred's heart drops into his stomach, his face growing paler as he realises he may have officially lost Ellie forever.

"Girlfriend?" George questions, overhearing the conversation.

"Erm yeah, Dray asked me yesterday after he took me out in Hogsmeade." Ellie smiles as Draco kisses her cheek before smirking, proud of himself for finally getting his long time crush to be his.

Fred feels like he's going to be sick, he can't believe that Ellie had agreed to date him. He kicks himself as he realises that if he had never asked Angelina to the ball, this would probably have never happened. Why did he have to be so stupid? The only girl he wanted was right in front of him. . . now making googly eyes at Malfoy of all people.
