Chapter 5

Ciao everyone, how are you today. i cant believe we hit one hundred reads the other day. I'm so happy that you guys are enjoying my story. I love writing this and im kinda working on a DenNor story but i don't know if ill post it. Hope you guys like this chapter. Oh and this chapter is back in the current time. Ciao-Sachiko<3

After a while you stopped singing and lifted Ivan's head off your shoulder.

"Do you want to stay over and sleep? You must be exhausted from all that crying and I don't think I have enough energy drive you home myself." You asked him softly. 

He gave a small nod and got up, heading towards the door, like he was going to sleep on the couch. 

"Nope, your sleeping in this bed, kay? We can just share it, it's a large bed and I've got plenty of pillows."

"Spasibo (F/N), do you have a bathroom I can use?"  Ivan asked. 

"No problem, bathrooms over here and let me know if you need anything." 

You led him over to the bathroom and decided to take this time to change your now snot covered shirt. You grabbed an over sized kitten shirt and changed quickly, barely finished changing when Russia walked back in.

"Oops, um, sorry about walking in, I didn't know you would change." Russia had blushed a deep red and you were a little pink yourself.

"Don't worry about it. I was done anyway and I kinda forgot you were here"

At this point you looked over to see he was in pink boxers and was taking off his long coat. You did your best not to stare as he removed his coat and two sweaters. When he was done he was clad in those strangely adorable boxers and a (F/C) sweater, as well as his scarf.

You were a tad worried that the scarf would choke him in his sleep but remembered that he always wore it and you assumed that applied to sleep as well, so you didn't say anything. You both crawled into bed, plainly exhausted and within five minutes Ivan fell sleep, a light, adorable blush still lingering on his face.

You stayed awake a while longer, wondering what had upset the usually strong and calm man to the point where he was crying so much. You also wondered if he noticed all of the Russia themed things in your room or if he knew you were seriously crushing on him.

You were about to lie down to sleep when he turned over in his sleep, now facing you. He had a slight smile on his face and was mumbling something in his sleep. It was in Russian so you didn't understand it in the slightest but you still smiled at how relaxed and happy he looked right now.

You snuggled down and lied on your back for a few minutes when Russia shifted onto his own and grabbed your hand. You blushed darkly but didn't pull away. You figured it was just some sleep reflex and then you looked at the Russians hand. His sweater sleeve had slid up to his elbow and you could dozens of scars on his arm. At least thirty lines cut across his wrist and forearm, with one long vertical cut that broke the other lines in half.

They all appeared to be from around the time he had met you or before, the deep looking vertical one appeared to be the newest, but they had all healed up and they saddened you greatly. You had no idea he had ever done this and knew the vertical one must have been an attempt to kill himself.

You covered your mouth with your free hand and a few tears drifted down your face. Seeing as he was a country he couldn't die but it was obvious that at one time he desperately wanted to and you couldn't help but wonder about the past of his that you knew so little of.

He had told you a little about how he grew up and you knew it wasn't a nice story but he didn't talk about it anymore. You decided to put it out of your mind and fixed his sleeve so you didn't have to think about it and soon fell fast asleep

Little did you know you had made a terrible mistake that night. And you would regret before too long.

Ooh cliffhanger. i feel evil but oh well. I wonder whats gonna happen, although i actually do know, but im not telling. Ciao-Sachiko<3
