Chapter 5: I fcked up

*Dabi Pov*

I sat up and went to the side of the bed to stand up. I made my way around slowly to where I threw the pillow and what did I expect. I saw the pillow and beside it was the  wall clock that used to be hung up.

I'm not the type that spends time to decorate my room but I don't consider myself as a minimalist. I only have a bed that could fit me at the corner. A small drawer at the side where I put my clothes. A window to look outside I guess. That's about it.

Nothing changed since I first entered my room. Except that there's a crack now on the clock. I just threw it into the dumpster since it does not have a battery. It's as good as junk. I have a phone anyway to track the time.

I jumped back on the bed and decided to sleep. What else is there to do. I have work to do for the next couple of days.

As I got a comfortable sleeping position, I felt relaxed then I closed my eyes. As if all of my worries went away. This feels nice, I would wish to be like this forever but I knew something, no... someone missing.

I sighed from the realization of the current situation and just accepted it. 

"I deserve this" Muttering to myself.

*Hawks Pov*

Finally, the meeting has ended.  We all headed through the door to leave the premice. Me and Miruko being behind the pact, she has told me what happened during the meeting. It was mostly about the plan on what we're going to do.

 having already embarrassed myself that much for "looking like a complete fool" quoted by her while I was thinking about random unimportant thoughts.

"You don't look so good right now Hawks" She giggled over to me while I tried to keep a straight face because there were people around us. Not like they could see us or anything...

"Ya just lacked a bit of sleep that's all," I said unenthusiastically.

"Ahhhh. Guess so" She said as silence breaks in because I was trying my best to keep from collapsing from exhaustion. She knew that already so it was no big deal.

As we entered outside the building and saw the rest of the other heroes taking their leave. By leaving a single wave at her without even time for her to react. I opened my wings at full length and flapped them at force to get up as soon as possible. I just wanted to crash home, to be honest.

Soaring in the sky I was already on my way to head home. They said that I needed the rest because I had a mission coming up when it comes to the investigations in regards to the League. No way to create some unnecessary errors.

Mirko said that the others will be filling the details on chat so I can just read that when I had some time. Honestly, that's really convenient since the stuff Mirko said is already what I knew and we did not really have that spare time to talk.

I mean I could ask her but same as me, she's always on the run around Japan to face Villains.

There I could see the building where I stayed. I glided down as to my balcony and reduced speed by flapping in the opposite direction to have a face landing. Facing the sliding door. I grabbed my keys from the pocket and opened the door.

"THANK GOD I'M FINALLY HERE," I thought to myself. As exhausted or even more from yesterday I went straight to bed face down and allowed my arms and legs to stretch out like a Starfish.

But I immediately decided that it was a bad idea because of how uncomfortably small my bed was. I felt the palm of my left-hand bend touch the wall and my right arm was dangling over the side of the bed.
