"Princess."

My heart pounded in my chest as I let the piece of paper land like a feather on my desk.

No. Please no. Why now?

I exhaled deeply before looking next to me. Staring into gray orbs as the ones I remembered in the old days. I blinked away and turned slightly so I can talk properly to him.

Princess... he's the only one who can say that as I felt like feelings were trying to burst out all at once inside me. Inside my heart. But I hid the key from myself. I don't know what to say now. Of all the times, he would say Kimika because others were around us. Now that we're alone, doing this project, he can say it freely.

"Osamu." I nodded to him, staying calm and refused to say my nickname for him. Keeping this professional since the project is more simple since we both play volleyball.

I can tell he doesn't know what to say as well. Because I would cut him off after trying to talk to me. He deserves every pain I felt in Middle School. I'm surprised that, the girl with him didn't went to Inarizaki. Like where the heck did she go? Could she Samu-kun now? Or if she tried out for volleyball, can she see me? How I am known in the Kansai Region, ranked as #1 and the Top 5 in the Nation?

"So, should we do this about volleyball?" He asked as I hummed in response before writing everything down. Brainstorming.

"Would you like to do something else?" I asked in return. I know he likes food. Not gonna lie, I eat a lot too. I wouldn't share with my sisters if it's so good. I would let them have anything when my stomach is satisfied.

He was deep in thought because he must be thinking about food. I observed the small features on his face as he was thinking. He gotten more handsome. Back then, I fell in love with his cuteness and the way he talks to people. Now, it's like I am crushing over his glow up.

"Food." He finally answered as I snapped out of my trance and eagerly wrote it down so to make it look like I wasn't completely staring at him. I draw out a T chart and then showed it to him. I would have listed everything down by myself and just let him choose what topic are we doing but I wanted to include him.

"Let me." He said as I hesitated but gave him my notebook and pencil. Our hands touched one another with the pencil as I drew back and watch him take some notes on the volleyball side.

"What's your jersey number this year?" He asked.

"15." He nodded

"Still love those Yakitori?" He asked as he was done with the left side. He laid eyes on me as I returned it with a bit of amused look.

"You remembered?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't I, Princess?" He blinks as I averted my gaze, felt butterflies in my stomach as I fiddled with the piece of paper.

"It's just we haven't been that close now." I admitted. "I thought you'll forget." Because you were seeing someone else. Why would you remember things about a girl who was blocked by the girl that was right in front of you.

"No, I haven't forgotten anything." He looks down at my notebook and scribbled somethings on it. I hummed in response, only feeling the butterflies getting worse as my stomach began to hurt.

"After class, where would you go?" He asked, feeling a bit comfortable now I suppose.

"Eat a meal." I remarked as I began to picture Yakitori in my head. And Udon. And sushi. 🍱🥟🍚🍤🍣🍜🍢🍙🥢

Now I'm hungry and it's only first class. Usually I can't eat meals when I wake up since we have practice. There's like no time to go eat in the canteen afterwards.
