ALMOST 3 DAYS BEFORE APOCALYPSE

"What?" Lorna asked in demand as the teams who were out told each side of their story, with a holographic map and red X on the areas where they were dispatched.

"... It doesn't make any sense." Gravitia muttered as she glance again at the map. "It's like they knew..." Artemis agreed but Arsenal shook his head. "Even if they knew... why didn't they attack? Also what got me curious is one giant robot yet many... livestock." He hissed and Mosu gently ease his shoulders.

"We were shocked too, many corpses were scattered in our area. I even had to quadruple check it with Gray." Max said as his nephew nodded. "It doesn't make sense at all..." Canary said as they still try to figure it out.

"All of you weren't followed?" Beast Boy asked as all nodded. "We were alert at most." Dallas said and glance at his shoulder, eyes lingering at the medical tent and this didn't go unnoticed by Lorna. "Huh.. whose on patrol today?" "Its us." Flash said and Lorna nod.

"Do you need a back up?" Lorna asked and Flash shook his head. "I'll have my team depart in a few minutes." The green-hair woman nod and entered Raven with Lillian whose robotic arm slightly syai. "How's Rose and Damian?" Canary asked and Dallas and Marcus's heads perk then the young boy looked at the werewolf confused.

"We got in time to stitch his wounds... Rose's is..." Lillian glance at Raven who frown. "She won't let go of Damian..." Lorna nod and then entered Alyssa with Luna. "Starfire and Yuki?" Canary asked the newcomers and both heavily sigh. "Crying." Alyssa groan and Flash internally thought her reaction is cute.

Canary sigh and smile at everyone. "We haven't been sleeping well... get some rest... we all need it. Delta, take shifts." Flash and his team nod as Wally went to Alyssa and peck her lips. "Get some rest okay... dont worry too much." She nods as Luna smile. "Glad your back Luna." Wally hugged her and she returned it. "Stay alive." She said and Flash nod. "Aren't we all.." He muttered and glance at his team... his son Gray whose slightly frowning and suddenly... a figmentation of Red smirking...

"I lost one... and I'm not gonna loose another..." Wally said determined as Alyssa and Luna remembered Red smiling.. "Gray. Let's go." Wally said and speed away.

Alyssa hugged Gray and gently ruffled his brown hair. "Look out for your dad okay?" Gray smile and nod. "Will do.." Phwoosh!

MEDICAL TENT

Dallas was standing by the front of the tent and he sighed. Gently pushing away the front cloth and saw his worried mom and his unconscious dad, hooked with an IV bag and oxygen tank and heart beat monitor.

His mom glance at her bare shoulder, she removed Wanda's cloak and smiled. "Hi.." She said softly and saw eyebags under her eyes. He frown slightly. "... you need sleep.. uhm..." Dallas awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck and she giggle.

"You can call me mom if thats what makes you comfortable." Dallas blinked yet smile wide showing his dimples. Dallas took the free seat and sat beside Rose whose looking at Damian. ".. I'm sorry about your future.."

Dallas's eyes widen and he looked at Rose whose smiling sadly. "But.. I guess you can't control the future... unless we change the timeline from the past.." She chuckled and Dallas smile. "Looks like I got my smarts from you mom.." Rose smiled and gently ruffled his black hair...

"You are really like Damian.." She said softly and his eyes twinkled. "I'll take that as a compliment." She smiled then sigh rubbing his multi-colored eye. "Mom... you need to rest.. dad wouldn't like it.."

Rose smiled and wss about to speak when both heard the flap of the tent. Both turn and saw a glaring Marcus, Rose stood up from her chair and blocked Dallas from his view. "You. Me. Outside now." He said straight.

He walked out of the tent and reveal a worried Jason and Maya. "Rose I..." She shook her head and smile. "Can you keep an eye on Dallas for me?" Jason nodded. "Yeah... sure..." Rose nodded and before walking away, she kissed Dallas forehead. "Get some rest okay..." Dallas nodded and she walks out of the tent.

"What's going to happen..?" He rhetorhically asked and Maya frown. ".. its for the best.." Jason frown and crossed his arms. "How did you guys met... I'm really curious." He said to Maya who took a chair for both of them with duvets on them.

She gave one to Dallas who appreciated it, to Jason and then sat down. She sigh through her nose and ponders... "Well..." She didn't continue as they heard the commotion.

OUTSIDE MEDICAL BAY

"You should really stop clinging to Damian and that kid." Her eyes widen at Marcus. "W- Dallas is my child-" "On another planet." She glared at him. "... I want them out."

She look disbelief at the furious werewolf whose eyes are shifting from golden to brown. "What's wrong with you?! We're at war Marcus and you expect me to let a young boy and his father to just defend themselves alone!" Marcus scoffed and admired the idea which made Rose furious as her eyes glowed.

"This isn't like you Marcus." She said and he scoffed again and fully faced her, unaware that the three parties, his Beta, Damian's siblings and Adrian listening or watching them.

"What do you take me for huh?!" She blinked and he outburst. "I change my whole life for you! I'M A GREAT GUY!" Rose suddenly burst out in tears which shocked Marcus as he noticed he was clenching both her arms.

"You're not in love with me..." He stiffen as his wolf stayed silent yet let out soft whimpers of pain. He growled as he harshly shook her. This made Adrian's blood boil but was stopped by his friend, Nightwing who simply shook his head.

She took a deep breathe as she cried. "If-that's what your going to say- you're not in love with me.." She said between her sobs as Marcus furiously shook his head, his face portrayed hurt.

He suddenly let out harsh tears as he bit his lip and Rose slightly whimpered when he clenched her shoulders. "I LOVE YOU!" "I know that you love me Marcus... but you are not in love with me..." She emphasize as he weakingly let go of her arms as she sobbed.

He furiously let out a shaky breathe as he tugged the ends of his hair. "What difference does it make...?" He said filled with hurt as she sobbed.. "All the difference in the world..." He just laugh in pain as she said that as he hit the ground and hugged her knees.

"My mate please... please..." He cried as she shook her head and Maya cried as she saw the scene unfold and Jason gently hugged her as she sobbed on his shoulder. Dallas sadly frowns to not only his mother... but so is to Marcus.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." She said as she tries pushing Marcus away but he wouldn't budge. Adrian looked away as he covered his eyes... pretty much hurt just by looking at his sister.

Tim and Dick looked at each other and walk towards the... previous partners. "Hey man... let her go.." Marcus growled as Tim and Dick helped Rose remove a crying and whining Marcus.

She covered her mouth as she was finally free from his grasp and Marcus slapped both their hands off his shoulder. He ripped his clothes and harshly shifted into a large dire wolf and howled loudly that it shook their hideout and his loud thump of paws echoed.

Before she could catch up to her, Adrian stopped her. "But..." He just shook his head slowly as she cried and hugged her. "I didn't mean to..." He just comforted her and let her cry on his shoulder. "He'll be fine..."
