After a few days of staying in the Tsugikuni estate, Michikatsu's father was convinced to let you stay because he found out that you were the child of a Hashira, so he thought that you would be the suitable match for Michikatsu. When your family had nothing left on the mountain, you were treated with delicious food and beautiful clothing. While walking around the estate to explore more of it, you decided to explore a small three-tatami room hidden away from the rest of the house.

When Michikatsu's father told you not to visit that part of the house, did you listen? Nope! You did not, and curiosity got the best of you because Michikatsu mentioned he had a younger brother. When you slowly approached a door, you lightly pushed it open to see a boy staring at a wooden flute in his hands. When he glanced over to you, he stared at you with curiosity even when his expression showed no indications of emotion.

"Hello," You greeted with a whisper when in response, he didn't respond to you as he continued to stare at you. Looking around the area nearby, you saw no one outside, so you decide to enter the small room to befriend the boy. Just then, the boy grabbed a piece of paper as well as a small brush and dipped it into the ink nearby as he began to write. Once he finished writing, you leaned over to read what he wrote on the paper.

Who are you?

He then handed you the brush for you to write your response. You assumed that he couldn't hear you, but it looked like he was able to write decently, despite living in a more indisposed section of the house. Once the brush came into contact with the paper, you began to write out your response as you regularly glanced over your shoulder. You didn't want Michikatsu's father to discover that you went to meet his other son.

My name is Moriko. I will be staying here in the meantime. What's your name?

As soon as you answered, the boy gently grabbed the paper from your hand as he began writing on it again. As he was writing, you examined his features from the corner of your eye while you sat there patiently. You had to admit that you've seen the resemblance between both this boy and Michikatsu since he had a younger twin brother.

Looking around his room, you noticed he didn't wear any elegant clothing like Michikatsu. You felt bad for the boy that he was treated like this by their father, unlike his older brother, so that gave you more of a reason to befriend him because you wanted to bring happiness to Yoriichi's life. You could clearly see who their father favored more because Yoriichi was different from Michikatsu. You didn't care that Yoriichi and Michikatsu were different from each other because the brothers shared the same blood. You believed they deserved to have the same friend regardless of their living situations.

My name is Yoriichi Tsugikuni. You have a kind and pretty smile.

When you read his message, your cheeks flushed a faint red when he complimented your smile. After a few hours of speaking and getting to know each other, you had to say goodbye because you didn't want Yoriichi's father to find out you were visiting him.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye, Yoriichi." You whispered with a gentle smile before placing your small hand on his head, tousling his hair slightly. Immediately, you made your way outside of the room and shut the door, whispering another goodbye to the emotionless boy that was staring at you with those lifeless maroon orbs.
