Nini POV

"I hate to break it to you but that's not gonna fit in there." Ricky comes up behind me, his hand finding my back and his mouth pressed up against my ear as he mumbles. I hide my scowl as I continue to push EJ's crates in between two of his moving boxes and when I still can't get it in, I turn and glare at Ricky. "It would've fit if you didn't put that energy out there." I mutter and Ricky grins, pressing his body against mine and pecking my lips. "Uh huh usually big things don't fit into small spaces." He shrugs and I roll my eyes. He thumbs my waist and leans into me further and I think that's he's going in for a hug, but he just presses his mouth against the side of my ear. "There's an exception with us I guess." He mumbles cheekily and my face instantly heats, as I push him back with embarrassment. "Ricky!" I scold and he smirks, rubbing his fingers across my skin. Before he can respond though, we're greeted again by EJ who's holding two more boxes. "Sorry guys but I think this is the last." He says as he attempts to apologize for the amount of stuff he has. I shake my head and give him a smile. "It's not as much as I'd bring so don't sweat it." I assure him and he gives me a grateful smile. "This is too much shit dude, you need to narrow it down next time." Ricky says and EJ sends him a glare as I slap his shoulder. "That's two today Ricky Bowen. Not including the sandwich. Don't you irritate me a third time." I say and he gives me a little smirk. "Or else what?" EJ huffs in disgust and turns away. "Okay ew. Gross. Refrain from that please." He tells us and I can't help but laugh. "Don't tell me you aren't like that with Gina sometimes." I smile and EJ frowns. "Actually, not recently. She's been a little upset." My jaw drops and I tilt my head. "I talked to her this morning and she was fine." I say and EJ shakes his head. "She's just a little sad with me leaving." I see Ricky frown too and I take a deep breath. "I'll call her before we go over to the college tomorrow. I mean, I don't blame her, this is sad stuff to deal with. But we have to make sure she's all good." I tell the boys and Ricky nods, rubbing a hand across my back.

"You WHAT?" I hear Ricky yell as I leave EJ's bathroom. He had invited us inside to get water and Ricky of course needed to eat his sandwich, and while it seemed like a calm break, hearing Ricky yelling stopped my heart for a second. I rounded the corner near the kitchen but I held myself back from entering the room when I hear EJ's next words. "Would you shut the fuck up dude. Nini's gonna hear you." I raise my eyebrows and scoot further away from the kitchen entrance in order to keep listening. "Okay so you want it to remain a secret that you tried to break up with Gina?" I slap a hand over my mouth to contain my gasp. "Yes fucking please dumbass." If I were in the room, I'd assume EJ's scowling. "You're the fucking dumbass for trying to break up with her. What the hell were you thinking?" Ricky demands and EJ sighs. "Long distance never works dude. It just never does okay? And she was already so sad about me leaving and-" Ricky cuts EJ off. "So you fucking decided to add fuel to the fire and break up with the poor girl? Are you kidding?" I close my eyes as I feel tears forming for my best friend. "Well we're not broken up so you can chill okay. She cursed me out for being insensitive and then she broke down and now she's taking a little space to think. But before I left her place i realized how fucking idiotic I was for breaking up with the girl I'm literally in love with and I told her we weren't done. She could take as much time as she needed, I'm in for the long run." I roll my eyes at EJ's statement and I'm sure Ricky does the exact same thing. "Yeah it sure sounds like it. Don't be an asshole to your girl EJ. It's good you woke up but you better stay the fuck awake before you lose the best fucking thing in your life." I can almost picture EJ hanging his head at Ricky's statement. I can't help but swoon slightly at his caring words, but my heart was still breaking for my friend and I knew I needed to call her right away. I decide to walk into the kitchen first though, weak smiles emitting from the boys as I walk over to the counter that they're leaned against. "So what'd I miss?"
