Nini POV
"We gotta go home baby, it's starting to rain." Ricky tells me against my lips. He pulls his face out of my hands to look out the window before meeting my eyes. Even in the dark, his eyes sparkle. "How about we go outside." I say, excitement laced in my tone. Ricky grins and shakes his head. "Why are you so entirely insane tonight?" He laughs before pulling away from me completely, getting out of the car. I drop my jaw in shock at the fact that he didn't even question me, and I see him running over to my side of the car before he pulls the passenger door open. "Nins come on!" He laughs, pulling on my hand and running us up onto the sidewalk. I grin as I pull myself up against his front, the light rain already soaking our clothes slightly. "Dance with me!" I giggle and he smiles back, twirling me around before pressing his hands firmly against my waist. He looks up and shakes his head. "We're on the only lit section of the street. You look like a literal angel." I hear him mumble quietly and I laugh, tilting my head. "What was that?" I ask and he shakes his head before gesturing to the darkness all around us. "You and I are on the only lit part of the sidewalk." He says and I smile, pressing my lips to his jaw before slipping my fingers up through his damp curls. "So?" I ask and he chuckles. "So you're literally like an angel." I blush and pull back to look at him, waiting for him to explain. "You light up the darkness. You don't make me feel so lost, because wherever I go, you go and you bring the light." My blush spreads to my neck and I lean forward, resting my head on his chest as I curl my fingers through his hair repeatedly. "Where's this coming from?" I ask and he's silent for a second. "I'm not really sure. I'm just glad you're a light in my life." I feel tears prickling at my eyes before I pull back. "Well you're a light in my life too Ricky. Forever and always." He leans forward to press his lips against mine in response. "I love you for life baby."

GUYS!!! So this came without warning but I'm pretty sure this is the end of the teenage Ricky and Nini for A Light. EXCUSE ME WHILE I CRY!! Y'all have made this book continue on for like 8 months, and you've made every chapter so incredibly fun to write. I've got a lot more to unpack with this version of our favorite couple, so stay tuned for the wedding, the honeymoon and all the in betweens. (Plus a few senior year flashbacks that you requested to see!) I'm so grateful for all of you.
