Nini POV

Ricky's arm around me loosens as the minutes go by, as my tears dry and our silence stretches. He promises me repeatedly that he loves me and that he's not upset, which calms my mind until things don't seem quite right. As the quiet between us grows prominent I sit up, and Ricky finally breaks it. "So?" He asks, giving me a look. "So?" I blush and I glance at our intertwined hands. He shrugs and I fight the frown that tries to form. "Well I guess we should probably go talk to him... my dad I mean. I left quickly, it was a lot of chaos. " Ricky raises an eyebrow and I squeeze his hand. "With you, of course." When he doesn't say anything I speak up again. "Please." I say him and he nods. "I'm not even gonna promise to be civil towards him." Ricky warns me, and he pulls me up, signaling to me he was ready to leave the park. I sigh. "I never figured you would be." I let a little laugh slip and I feel Ricky press his nose into my hair as we walk towards the exit of the park and the cross walk near the street. "Nini I fucking hate that he made you feel uncomfortable. That's just not-" I cut Ricky off before he can even begin to rant. "I know babe." He nods once and gets quiet again.

There's so much tension between us and I squeeze his hand as I try to figure out how to break it. There was no doubt it was because of me lying, but I also feel as though our entire situation was just overwhelming to him. Between his own family, and my absentee father he was starting to shut down. I added to it when I lied to him, and even though he said he's forgiven me, that he wasn't mad, there was a reason he was remaining so closed off to me. Ricky glances down at me before we cross the street, not long enough for me to catch his eyes but not short enough for me not to notice. "You're mad at me." I say simply and Ricky shakes his head. "No I'm not Nini, I'm just a little tired. Not a lot of energy." He says, but I don't buy his excuse for a second and I pull my hand from his. "Ricky you're still mad at me. You told me you weren't and you let me hug you and kiss you but-" Ricky cuts me off and shakes his head. "Nini you're gonna get hit by a fucking car if you don't walk a little faster... and get off this irrelevant topic while you're at it." He almost sounds like he's pleading with me to drop the subject, running his hand through his curls frustratingly. I narrow my eyes at him as we make it to the other side of the street safely. Just as we're about to walk through the hotel doors though, I pull on his arm. "Let's go Bowen." He falters, tumbling after me clumsily as I continue to pull him towards the back of the hotel, an alley way with a brick wall appearing just beyond the corner. "Nini where are we going?" He asks and I huff. "To fix your attitude." I say and I can almost hear him roll his eyes. "You're not the one who got lied to." He grumbles and I actually roll my eyes. "Well you lied to me when you said that you weren't upset with me anymore." I say and if I were turned towards him, he'd have narrowed his eyes. "You can't even begin-" before he can finish I push him up against the brick wall by his shoulders. His eyes widen and a curl falls onto his forehead as he watches me hold him in place. His eyes have darkened considerably and he bites his bottom lip as he waits for my next move. It doesn't come though, I don't want to force him to do anything. When it's clear that I'm not going to do anything, Ricky shakes his head, and looks like he's debating pushing me away so that he can move. His eyes flit behind me, like he's sizing up the job. That fear of him pushing me away though forces me to lean in and press my lips against his. Hard.
