"A-are you leaving?" Billie stutter.
I looked down. She stands up taking a few steps away. I also stand up. "Billie," I whispered.
"T-this is happening again. All over again." She whimper, kneeling down. She covered her face hiding from crying, she sobbed.
I fast kneeled down beside her, touching her arms. "Billie please, don't cry," I whisper feeling my own tears coming. "You could have expected this, right?"
She let her face go, watching me with red puffy eyes. Tears streaming down her face. "What the hell do you mean! No, I haven't expected this. I thought this is your home now." We both stand up again. "If this is about Gina-" I cut her off.
"Not everything is about that Gina, I don't care about her." I crossed my arms. "I miss my family Billie, didn't you know? Every time when I'm going to sleep and wake up again I have to think about them. How I left them behind, my grandparents are getting old. I want to be with them for how long I can. I don't want to miss out on those family moments just because I want to follow my dreams."
Billie dried her tears, she looked away from me.
I took a few steps closer to her. "This has nothing to do with you, with us." I touched her cheek, she turned her head to face me. "I love you, Billie."
She shook her head grabbing my hand. "You make this very hard for me. You know." I nod understanding. "When did you made that decision?"
"Just a week ago, I wanted to talk to you about that. Because this news through message or phone isn't a good idea." I grabbed her hands. "Billie, I'm so sorry about this. I didn't want to end us like this."
"Then don't go, please." She whispered. "You have my mother my father. My whole family loves you."
"I love them too, but it's not the same."
She nods, avoiding my eyes now. "When are you leaving?" She asks eyeing me again.
"Within five days, I need to do some financial and municipal administrations before I can go to Europe." She nods letting my hands go.
"Five days. Jesus Christ. What does that mean for us?" Billie watched me. Probably knowing her answer. "Have you thought about that Kendra? Have you ever thought about how I would feel, how-," She stopped herself turning away from me.
