I took a deep breath, checking my phone again.

Still no message from Billie.

I put my phone down, looking down at my editing program on my MacBook.

I haven't heard from her, since yesterday night before she goes to that party. I hope everything went well out there and didn't turn into a nasty fight.

Well I'm overreacting, I saw Dakota's Instagram stories from last night. Both of them did have fun.

Dakota didn't come back, I guess maybe she did stay with her for the night.

My chest tightened.

Why do I feel that way?

It's not like Billie is something else to me and I made it very clear to Tayla and Dakota that Billie and I are only friends nothing more nothing less.

So I shouldn't care what they were doing at the party.

But why do I still feel a little? Upset.

I took my phone again, reaching for Billie's number.

I hesitated for a moment.

Should I or should I not.

I roll my eyes tapping on the call button. Having my phone against my ear. The phone went over two times before she picked up.

A very loud rap music played on the background.

"I was hoping you would give me a call." Her voice sounded hoarse.

Is this her morning voice or just the hangover she's going through?

I giggled biting my lip. "How was the party?" I asked tapping a few things on my laptop.

"Good actually. I'm sorry I haven't called you afterward. I was a little. Broken." She chuckled, hearing a few clinking sounds.

"It's okay I was busy with work anyway."

I shrug, turning my head to look at the beautiful outside view I have from my room. I stand up and walk slowly to the window, watching the sunrise surface.
