It's dark. She doesn't like the dark. It's where the monsters hide. She hears someone walking. Toward her. He's coming. She hid under the bed. The door opens slowly. It's not him. Its- it's Alex!

"Alex," she says quiet as a mouse.

"Hi, princess. It's bed time. I came to check on you."

"I'm okay now. Can you?"

"Of course."

Alex sang a soft tune.

"So, before you go, was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting-"

~

"-kills... Me how.. your mind can.. m-make you... Feel so w-worthless..

"Eri? Eri, you've been sing that same song for two hours now. " Kota asked.

The girl continued so sing.

"Eri!"

She still continued to sing.

"Eri will you please listen to me!"

The same response.

"Eri, they've been gone for 30 minutes! You can talk to me!"

Ten more minutes pass by. Kota was beat up pretty bad. He had bruises and scars all over his body. That's what he got for trying to play hero.

Eri was a thousand times worse. At this rate she could bleed to death. Black eye, broken bones, deep cuts, and large bruises. But it didn't seem to faze her at all.

Kota was getting tired of this song.

"Eri I'm trying to get us out of here!"

Eri finally responded, but not how he expected.

"Well stop!"

"Stop what? Trying to save your life?"

"Stop playing hero! I don't need a hero! I didn't need one back then and I don't need one now!"

"That's ridiculous! Everyone needs a hero at some point, eri, even you!"

"I am my own hero!"

"Why won't you just let me help?"

"Because he was right... Everything is my fault...."

"Nothing is your fault."

"Oh, yeah? Well you weren't there when I killed my dad, were you, kota? I killed him! My mom left me because of that! Chisaki used me because of my quirk! Mirio lost his quirk because I was in the way! Nighteye died because I wasn't strong enough to leave by myself! How was none of that my fault? Huh? Tell me!"

"You were a kid-"

Eri mumble something under her breathe.

"I should have been stronger..."

"You should have been safer."

The door shot open. That same man strut his way to kota.

"She's right! Everything that has happened here is her fault! Hahaha! Isnt that just hilarious?"

Kota got ready to fight.

"Who are you!" The boy screamed.

"Oh, I can't tell you that, now can I? You may call me master." He gave an evil laugh.

"No."

"Oh, fine. What do you want to call me?"

"A fucking piece of shit!"

"I don't like that!"

The man hit Kota. Hard.

"Psyco!"

"That's better! I like that! Call me that!"

This rat started laughing sinisterly and reached for something in his pocket.

He made his way over to eri.

She had her head down. Her messy hair covered her face.

The psyco grabbed a chunk of eri's hair and violently pulled her head up and ripped a knife out.

Eri looked like she wanted to cry, but she wouldn't. She knew better than that.

He angled that knife at eri's neck.

A tear dripped down the girl's face. She couldn't stop it.

The man saw this, of course, and took it as a sign of weakness. He began with that horrid laugh again as he ran knife over the sweet girl's face.

"Stop that! Leave her alone! Stop it!"

"Shut up, boy!"

He threw the knife into eri's arm.

Kota instantly did as he was told and the man spoke up.

"Hahaha! Let's play a game!"
