The next morning, I woke up as if I had just had a hangover; my hair was in a complete and absolute mess, my eyes were red and slightly baggy, my body felt like there was absolutely no blood running through it. I managed just enough strength to turn my head to the side and look at my alarm clock. It was seven thirty a.m. School starts at eight and I am meant to have left for school by seven a.m. at the latest. All the strength seems to jump into my body as I bounce into the bathroom and am out within no more than a minute, in seconds, I jump into my clothes and am downstairs. I zoom through the town in a blur the second I leave the house. I reach three-hundred miles an hour; the fastest I have ever gone. I would have zoomed straight into school if common sense had not smacked me in the head at the last possible second. I divert right and go round back, slamming right into the back of the building with a loud thud. Thankfully, I'm not hurt in anyway. I clean myself up and go round to the school front door, where Natalia and Joseph are at my locker waiting for me.
"I know, I know, I'm late. Sorry, overslept," I said walking up to them with my hands raised up in innocence.
"Don't worry 'bout it. I literally dressed up in the car," Natalia said, blushing slightly.
"I had my bath and dressed up in school. My stuff are right in my locker," Joseph admitted, clearly beating the competition, hands down. Natalia and I burst out laughing, soon joined by Joseph himself. I picked out my books from my locker and walked with Natalia and Joseph to homeroom. We sit and talk for a while before other enter into the room. We're still talking until the form tutor walks in and starts his morning speech. Apparently, there is some program going on in school today so all students must stay in their classes. The second these words leave his mouth, as if like magic, cards, laptops and phones appear on each and every desk, including mine, Natalia's and Joseph's. The form tutor calms everyone down so he may continue his speech. The second he sits down and outs his earplugs in his ears, the class erupts. Chit-chatter at every single corner, Joseph, Natalia and I gather in a corner of our own. Joseph pops out cards and we start playing. After we're done playing cards, I smiled as I brought out Alien Isolation, Dragon Age and Skyrim game DVDs. Natalia smiles in response and pulls out her media laptop. Basically, it's a laptop that has a media drive strong enough to carry such heavy video games. We start with Dragon Age and end with Dragon Age. We were too engrossed in the game to remember that any other thing existed. We even accidentally stayed a few minutes after school to continue playing. Natalia, like some mean party pooper, was the one to put the laptop into sleep mode and close the lid. She stood up and walked away. We followed her, getting the language loud and clear. I looked to Joseph and nudged his arm to get his attention, "Did you bring the money we are expected to spend today?" He smiled proudly and reached his hands into his pocket and suddenly his heart seemed to seize. I called Natalia to a stop and leaned on a locker while Joseph dug his hand deeper and deeper into his pocket. After realizing it wasn't there, he searched his other pocket, then his back pocket then his shirt pocket, he even scattered his bag in search for it. He swallowed loudly, not having the courage to say what seemed to be obvious. "Well?" I said, crossing my arms and staring at him.
"Uh, um, well, I - can't seem to find it," he said, his lips shaking and eyes widened with fear. Natalia stared him down and I could literally feel the cold coming off her.
"Well, I wouldn't expect you to," I said as I tossed the tied up wad of cash that had been in my jacket pocket all along. The second it left my hands, I bolted off running. Joseph, who didn't even bother catching the money, ran off after me. I jumped behind Natalia and took shelter. The shocking part was when Joseph jumped to tackle even though Natalia was in the way. She leaped away not a second too late as she jumped clear of Joseph's tackle, and making him shovel right into me, both of us crashing to the ground. For some reason, I was still laughing but Joseph was down-right furious. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay? It was just begging to be stolen. It was too obvious. It was like you were having an erection in your pocket. If I didn't take it, someone else would have." Natalia, having finally recovered from dodging Joseph's tackle, helped to pull him off me. This would be the second time that I have been tackled by Joseph in two days. Something was very wrong; normally, he would have tackled me about fifteen times in a day.
