S1 E22 : The Two Ends

21.

(The first two scenes are happening simultaneously)

As Maya opened her eyes, she knew she wasn't dead. All she remembered was the bullet shot of Vikram and her hand holding onto Rudra's tightly. She looked around the room. She was desperate to find out where Rudra was. He wasn't there. Was he okay?

All she heard was a familiar voice.

She looked at the owner to find that it was Dr Sharma. His lips held a sarcastic smile and she knew that he would never leave a chance to make fun of her even in serious situations. But when he came to work, he was one of the best doctors. She knew him from the time she had reached Mumbai. She had visited him a few times but for now, it was redundant.

"You compensated the encounter bullet with another bullet!" He joked and she smiled a bit. That's when her urge to know all the details passed through her veins.

"Vikram," Her question indicated that she was concerned and worried. She was a bit scared but her frown lines disappeared when she heard his answer,

"He was shot by ACP Malini on the same spot itself within a difference of few minutes!"

(Simultaneously, Rudra's room)

"Both of them were holding their hands tightly. It was very hard to separate their hands and treat them. Finally, somehow the doctors retreated their hands."

These were the first few lines of the conversation Rudra had heard when he came to his consciousness.

They didn't notice his eyes which had opened as their conversation continued. Somewhere a tint of redness was popping into his cheeks. He didn't let out a goofy grin but he smiled slightly through his physical pain.

But Maya? Where is she? When he tried to move, he felt a shooting pain in his chest..

As soon as someone knocked on the door, he looked at the door in front of him and the nurse walked to open the door. It was Ananya who walked in.

"How are you feeling now?" Ananya asked and he said with sarcasm," This might be a one-time life experience for me! But you know what, with Maya, everything is unexpected! Got a bullet and now..."

She just hummed and sat next to him. She was concerned for her friend. The moment this news had reached her ears, she felt numb! He just asked her the time to which she replied that it was 9:30 pm.

That was a great leap of time. He wanted to ask about Maya but he was sceptical. She was shot first before he could even push away Vikram. He knew that Vikram had a rage of possessiveness from his words and actions! But he too was possessive about Maya. Maya had tricked him and used him. Well, no one can digest the feeling that the person whom he/she loved so much cheated him. He was the same case as Vikram but it seemed that she liked Rudra more.

His thoughts revolved around Maya and with one look at Rudra's face, Ananya knew that he was worried or perhaps searching for her!

"Maya is safe and sound. She has no further problems." Ananya informed and he looked at her.

Rudra wanted to sit but Ananya told that he shouldn't move as much as possible. Soon he heard some sound and looked at the door to see Aditya entering into his casual self. He didn't want a sympathetic look. There were no further complications and he was fine...

Aditya being in his usual chirpy self asked," How was the action sequence, Bhai?"

That brought a smile on Ananya's face which was grim! This guy really knew to turn someone's mood.
