After graduation, I have struggled with finding a job. It took me months of rejection after rejection because I do not have any working experience. Some even mocked me by saying, "you only have a pretty face."

I have been scrolling non-stop on my Instagram account for hours, and then suddenly...

"Hello, this is Jay from the PhotoHub. I came across your profile, and I want to cast you as a model for a famous brand."

I was hesitant to respond. Scams like this are everywhere on the internet. There are so many what if in mind.

'What if this is just a hoax?'

'What if this is a human trafficking syndicate?'

'What if they kidnap me and then sell my organs?'

'What if this Jay is a serial killer?' and so on.

I may have watched too many horror films. But still, this feels quite odd. Never in my mind did I ever think about becoming a model. It took me a few days to decide.

Maybe this is the opportunity that I am waiting for, so I have to decide and take a risk. I stared at the message again for a few hours, then took a big breath and wished that this is not a scam.

"Hello; Thank you for your interest. I would like to ask if the offer still stands? Honestly, I was surprised by your message as I was not expecting anything. Anyway, I would like to take your offer if it is still available."

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and then pressed send. My anxiety is through the roof, walking back and forth inside my room crossing my fingers, and wishing that it is all real.

My heart jumped when my phone notification rang. I closed my eyes and wished, 'please be real...' before opening the message.

My eyes widened. I am smiling from ear to ear and jumping with excitement when I read the message.

"Hello, thank you for messaging back to me. Of course, my offer still stands. I was actually waiting for your reply. Without any further ado, I would like to set a meeting for a trial shoot if you want."

I am shaking, and I could not contain my excitement. I immediately responded to his message to set the schedule. This kind of opportunity really does not come every day, so I took a leap of faith.

The shoot went so well. Jay was so kind and helped me with everything.

I was happy, and honestly, a bit overwhelmed. Jay gets me so many booking schedules up to 4 separate shoots a day, and for a beginner like me, this is no joke. Who knew that standing in front of the camera posing and smiling all day can be so tiring.

After a year, I got used to this kind of job I can finally save some money. I have my own car and house, and almost everywhere I look, I can see my face. Only one more thing is missing, and that is Kelly.

My heart sank when I learned that he is already dating someone. I am devastated, but when I saw him on Boracay, he is definitely happy, and I do not want to bother him. I hope I could talk to him, but I could not even go near him due to my busy shoots and schedules. My team left Boracay the following day. I wish I could see him again.

"Wow!" I blurted out as I looked around. So this is London. I am here now for a photoshoot. Originally I am supposed to stay here for 2 days. Still, I persuaded Jay, who is now my manager and my lover, to clear my schedule for two weeks. I wanted to take a break. For 3 years, all I did was photoshoot after photoshoot. I am mentally exhausted, and I need to recharge.
