Chapter 02: Autumn Shopping.

After the presentation at the town plaza, Forster, and Ellie arrived at the pumpkin patch, and noticed their classmates Ezekiel, and Cheri raking the leaves from the ground, so the ground would stay completely clean.

Ezekiel, and Cheri noticed Forster, and Ellie then waved. "Good to see you two," Cheri said. "Yeah, we haven't seen you two since last Christmas," Ezekiel agreed. "Well, we have been helping people on other planets, every time we travel with the General," Ellie explained. "My shoes are still filled to the brim with sand, after visiting that desert planet." Ellie took off one of her shoes, and poured sand out of it, to reveal to Cheri, and Ezekiel, then placed it back on.

"Anyway, we're here to buy a pumpkin for our family, then later buy supplies to make our Halloween costumes," Forster said. "We're throwing a party on the ship on the 31st." "Nice, we'll meet you there," Ezekiel explained. "Now let's see, what kind of pumpkin would you like to stab?" "Probably, the biggest one here," Ellie said.

"If you're talking about Jumbo Boy over there, he's off limits," Ezekiel said, pointing at the pumpkin that was bigger than the teens. "Holy sh**," Forster said. "How did that one get big?" "It's this new growth elixir for plants that just came out called "Grow-To_Go," Cheri explained. "We've been feeding it to these pumpkins, since the leaves began to turned the same color as them." "Well can we get one that's close to his size?" Forster asked. "Why not, you are the first ones here," Ezekiel answered.

Cheri picked up one of the plumpest pumpkins next to Jumbo Boy, and gave it to Forster. "F***, it's heavy," Forster said. "Hang on, hon," Ellie explained. "I got ya." Ellie helped in carrying the pumpkin, once she placed her hands on the bottom of it. "So, what are you gonna do about the giant one over there?" Ellie asked. "We're entering Jumbo Boy in the Town Fair Pumpkin Contest. Biggest Pumpkin gets the blue ribbon, and trophy." "That's funny, I thought it was just a blue ribbon," Forster said. "Not this year," Ezekiel explained. Forster, and Ellie got then got the pumpkin in the shuttle, and entered, while sitting it on the couch, then returned to Cheri, and Ezekiel.

Forster pulled out $5.00 dollars, just as he got out his wallet, and gave it to Ezekiel. "Well, thanks for the pumpkin," Forster said. "We'll be seeing you on the ship, this weekend." "You too," Ezekiel agreed. "See ya," Ellie waved. "Bye," Cheri waved back. Forster, and Ellie got into the shuttle, and drove off, once they buckled the pumpkin into the backseat. "We finally got a pumpkin," Forster said. "Now all that's left to do is pick up Kathy from Middle School, drop her off at Gordon's, and return home." "I can't wait to do all that," Ellie said. "Though I do feel bad for ASHED." "He'll be fine, it's just a new upgrade," Forster explained.
