Nicholas

I slammed my fist against the wall!
Anger and frustration surged through my veins. I wanted to snap that guard's neck for interrupting us, but stopped myself.
There were more important matters that needed to be addressed at the moment.

Those bloody Vultures

But, all I could think of was her angelic face, her enchanting emerald eyes and those tempting rosy lips. I had to refrain myself from going back and claiming those delicious lips. Another wave of anger surged through me as a result of getting separated from her. I'll make sure each and every one of them Vultures are dead.

Earlier, I had lost control, when she tried to harm herself, and I lashed out my anger on her.
I cannot stand her getting hurt, then why do I always hurt her?
She wanted to escape me. Little did she know, she's mine to keep and no one can escape from the Devil. She hates me and always tries to get away from me and I don't like it.

I let out a growl and my nostrils flared in anger until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I snapped and turned back angrily only to see Carter grinning at me like a fool.
"Ah! You are in a good mood. Shall we proceed, brother?" he remarked sarcastically.

I gave a brief nod and walked out. I reached the palace gates, with Carter following closely behind. I saw my troops lined up with their horses, fully armed and prepared to go.
Sirius, my horse patiently waited for me in the front.

"Your Majesty, you asked for me?"
I turned to my right and saw Henry bowing down in respect. He is one of my best spies and a marvellous warrior too.
"It's time. Leave for Elysian immediately, and don't come back till you get the information I need" I ordered with authority.
"I won't disappoint you, my King" he bowed down and left. I'll find out what they were hiding and if they had any link to the Vultures, I'll destroy them.
"It doesn't make sense. Those Vultures wouldn't try to kill Bella that night and if they had any alliance with Elysian" said Carter, coming from behind me.
"I still have my suspicions" I stated firmly.
It cannot be a coincidence that they attacked on the day we left Elysian.
"Those bastards were last spotted in the west of the woods, outside the city. They must have stopped there for the night. If we proceed now, we can reach there by sunrise" said Carter in a serious tone.
"Lets go get their fucking heads" I chuckled and mounted my horse.

The sky was pitch dark and covered with clouds. A cool gust of wind blew past me as I rode in through the quiet city, everyone in deep slumber except the creatures of the night. The atmosphere was eerie and I could hear the faint sound of thunder.
I was thinking of the numerous ways I could kill those Vultures and make them suffer. Soon enough, the sun started rising up the horizon. We reached the woods and I smirked darkly.

A bloodbath awaited me!

It's been three days since I saw Nicholas. I should be happy, that I could finally breathe in peace. Still, I couldn't help but wonder if he was in some sort of trouble.
Was I worried about him?
No, I shouldn't care about him. He is a cruel, heartless monster who has ruined my life. I told myself that I'm not worried about him. I'm worried about Carter who has been nothing, but a kind and a good friend to me from beginning. Yep, that's right!

These three days I had kept myself busy. I had made some progress on the wormhole machine. I couldn't risk anyone knowing, so I strictly ordered the guards and the maids to knock before entering the room and only come in if necessary. I was always cooped up in the room working, that I forgot to eat at times. Ada used to come in and remind me, but I insisted I wasn't hungry. She used to sigh and keep the food on the table before leaving. The guards stood outside the door all the damn time. It wasn't necessary cause I wasn't planning on running, not yet.
