The silence was all around the former green lands, no insect buzzing, no fireflies glowing, no owls running in the clear sky, searching for their prey. In other words, a lifeless land.

The five knights marched straight towards the rising moon from behind the mountains that touched the sky. Salem had a bit of anger stored in his heart. Amelia was terribly tired. She was walking with her fellow knights with eyes seeing unicorns jumping from one hill to another and rainbows all around. "Yo Amelia, stay in reality, not dreamland." Said Radon in his thick voice. Amelia coughed, "huh? did you say something?" Barmouth and Salem burst to laugh.

A sound of a running river from far disturbed the sound of silence. "We will head towards the river to wash our faces." Announced Radon

Salem was busy thinking of a way to kill the demon lord of the north. He injured him really badly in their last battle. But could be healed with the healing magic the demons cast. He will rise again sometime close, and Salem was sure that the next time they meet would be really tough and harder to take care of. Since he can summon as many troupes as he demands as well as unite his army with the west, south, and east ones. Plus, he has general knowledge about the way Salem fights. " I wonder what will happen in the next meeting." Said Salem in an exciting voice. They all turned their eyes on him. "Nothing, just, let's go to our destination please." Said Salem in a troubled voice, somehow, having a bit of regret. A regret to think out loud. "did you just say your thought out loud?" Said Amelia looking at him face to face, eye to eye with excitement hidden behind them. It is rare for Salem to speak out his thoughts, even though no one understood what was the meaning behind that thought he shared. "Yeah. Sorry about that." Said Salem worrying about it. "just, make sure your thought is related to our objectives." Said Radon trying to mock him. Salem met his black eyes and gave the first knight a thumbs up.

They finally reached the refreshing icy water of the river. They all sat on the burnt floor to have a bit of a break and drink from the water. It was pitch black so they didn't know if the River was clean or not. Salem suggested taking a break, just wash our faces with it, not drink from it. No one understood why, yet, no one asked. He elaborated that maybe one of the demonic creatures ran this way. "If a demon touched the water it must not be drunk, otherwise it's one way to kill yourself." He said finally with a dead-serious tone eyes glowing blood red. The mood changed around them. The air was thick, all they felt was pure tension. Amelia thought that if she moves even one millimeter she will be on the other side.

The air relaxed a bit after Rosa announced that she will wash her face from another nearby river as soon as they find one. All agreed. Salem apologized for making the air thick, he just doesn't want to lose them, they are his loyal friends after all. He was, however, a bit worried about the demon lord. He cannot send ravens or crows to keep an eye on their activities. It will be suspicious for a raven to fly there and if it's too cold they might freeze to death. He as well had this thought that the moon kingdom might be ruled by a demon who mastered voodoo magic, which allows him to kill and control his army or even his people. According to Radon's information, creatures are running there, so there is a possibility for a demon ruler.

While he was swimming in his thoughts, Radon rested his hand on his shoulder. "It's not like you Salem, tell us what's wrong. We might be able to help." Said Radon with pity.

Salem looked straight into his eyes and asked, "Can you defeat the demon?" He said with a cold emotionless voice. Followed by a worried look. Salem smiled a bit, "We will try our best, just tell us your secret." Said Radon with haste. Salem ignored what Radon said, stood on his feet, and announced. "Come on guys, we need three days to reach the moon mountains. Until we reach the kingdom, it will take at least five days." It sounded logical to Amelia as well as the others. Even though they wanted to know about Salem.
