Hongjoong the artist, goes outside for the first time after being in his room for a week without going out, in one of his artistic moods.
He stumbles upon a new café that is to his liking. Is it the damn good carrot cake or the cutie redhead behin...

After the whole Changkyun incident, Hongjoong and Mingi finally became, you guessed i.
An official couple.
This was done a couple of days after the incident, where both Hongjoong and Mingi had had enough time to think everything through. It is a big step after all, not the biggest for some but for Mingi and Hongjoong, it were a leap.
It happened at the café with all of their friends watching Mingi asking Hongjoong if he wanted to be his boyfriend. To which Hongjoong answered
"Of course you big doof" while blushing furiously, and taking the small bukét of lavender and moonflowers that Mingi held for Hongjoong to take.
After that their combined friend group cheered and came with the usuals "took you long enough","Congratulations", "Great one more couple to let me feel single even more", "I swear to god Mingi if you ever hurt Hongjoong I will literally rip your throat out". The last one came very sincerely from Jongho.
The following weeks were a nice bliss. Halloween coming closer and closer which meant Hongjoongs art became more and more creppy and gory. And the costumers loved it! Hongjoong began gaining more and more success and actually got a little bit of fame in the little community he were a part of. Suddenly he could afford a little bit more. Some of the extra money went to his saving and other went to buying his new boyfriend small gifts.
Hongjoong were on the way to the café, sketchbook on one arm and a small gift bag on another. He wanted to treat Mingi with something nice and knowing Mingi and the season they were in, he knew exactly what to buy.
As he walked the familiar streets, he couldn't help but think about how amazing this street were. He lived close by, Mingi had both his café and apartment here. The flowers shop was just across the street and everyone were quite nice (when you look away from the incident with Changkyun).
Everything seemed to get better day by day. One day at a time.
Hongjoong couldn't wait to see Mingis face when getting the gift, and for the usual coffee and a smile from his boyfriend. Boyfriend. Mingi was his boyfriend now. Hongjoong almost coulndt contain a small skrieaky sound.
He felt amazing. Like as if his heart bloomed. And it bloomed for Mingi.
He arrived quite fast to the café, where he sat down on his usual spot, just waiting for Mingi. As he greeted the other baristas, he sensed that something were a tiny bit different. He couldn't set his finger on it. But he were quite sure that something were a bit different.
He had not sat down for long when his boyfriend came out from the kitchen, smiling so bright that he could have been the sun. And of course, Mingi had made a little surprise for Hongjoong. In his hands were two cups of coffee, still steaming as it were just freshly made. It probably were. Hongjoong had told Mingi that he were coming so it would make sense that Mingi were prepared.
Standing up to greet his taller boyfriend with a hug and a small kiss on the cheek, Hongjoong could feel the small butterflies. He always did when Mingi got close enough so they could show affection for each other.
When he sat down, now with Mingi in the other seat, he pushed the small gift bag Mingi's way. He couldn't wait to see what Mingi would think of the gift.
Mingi sat the coffees down and looked surprised by the fact that Hongjoong had given him something. He wondered what it could be. He took the bag and took the first thing out. It was a soft sweater. Mingi looked closer and looked at the brand tag and got very silent.
"This- This is a Umaiism sweater....This costs 124 dollars!!!! Hongjoong I don't know what I should say....I don't know if I even can accept this." Mingi said looking down while fumbling the sweater.
"You should. I bought it for you because I know you've wanted this for a while, and my commissions are going well so I can afford it" Hongjoong said with a smile.
"But this isn't the only gift youre gonna get sweetie. Look again." Hongjoong said while pushing the gift bag towards Mingi again.
Almost unwillingly, Mingi looked yet again down in the bag, and found a small box. A jewelry box. Mingi looked up at Hongjoong, not believing his eyes. Hongjoong simply sat and looked with pure adoration at his boyfriend.
As Mingi pulled the little box further out of the bag, Hongjoongs eyes began to sparkle with excitement.
A small necklace could be seen at the moment the little box was fully opened. A silver necklace with a little flat square pendant, was now in Mingi's large hands. The taller's mouth moved as Mingi read what was written with tiny snirckly letters. Aurora.
Mingi smiled as he let his tomb caress the simple but beautiful gift.
"Because you Mingi. You are my Aurora. You were the light I followed. You were the colorful light in the dark when I needed inspiration. The light that showed me the way. Mingi you don't know how much I care for you. I love you."
"I love you too Hongjoong." Mingi said taking the hands of the man he loved.
"I love you so much"

Sorry it took so long to update but I've been swamped by assignments and to be honest, a bit down the last couple of days. Do not need to worry though, I'm gonna be okay again soon:)❤
It kinda helps on the mood that me and my friend have gotten tickets for the 2ND ANNIVERSARY CONCERT : PORT OF CALL!!! I can't wait!
