"You walked into the room
And now my heart's been stolen
You took me back in time to when I was unbroken
Now you're all I want
And I knew it from the very first moment
Cause a light came on when I heard that song
And I want you to sing it again"

Can I be him?-James Arthur

The light shined in on the coffee table. The dust could be seen, flying in the air.
Like small pieces of fairy dust sprinkled around.
That if there were anyone awake at the time.
The almost empty plastic coffee cups, who once held the brown liquid gold, stood there both, a reminder of the simple but sweet gesture from yesterday.

You could have heard the small breaths from two people who had yet to know of the future, and simply stayed in the present.
Once in a while, a small snore could be heard from one tall red headed lad.

Suddenly the smaller figure that was laying on top of the said redhead, begin to stir.

One after one and slowly, he opened his eyes trying to focus and remember what had happened the day before. Mingi, coffee, cake, movie...sleep. Wait. MINGI!!!

Hongjoong stiffened at the moment he realized that he laid on the taller, head on the chest of the other.

What should he do?
Should he wait for Mingi to wake up? When would that be?
Hongjoong began to freak out inside of his head.

He lifted his head slightly, careful not to wake the other.
Mingi looked oh so peaceful.
A small smile painted on his lips, as he looked fast asleep.
Hongjoong was mesmerized.
The red hair was slightly curly and looked oh so soft.
Hongjoong had to admit that he really wanted to let his hair comb through the lovely firelocks.
His eyes travelled further down the face, taking all the details with him in the process.
The small moles was almost like cute droplets of paint.
Like he was a painting.
Every facial feature was an exquisite stroke of a brush.
Mingi's eyelashes was so long and pretty too.
And those plump lips looked like the softest pillows.
Hongjoong really wanted to touch the others face.
He wanted to paint him.
In his memorization, he didn't realize that something was off.

Suddenly a very deep raspy voice could be heard from those pillow like lips.

"Take a picture. It lasts longer." Mingi said with a smirk, now opening his eyes fully.

"How- How long have you been awake for?!" Hongjoong exclaims while stuttering, the fire burning his cheeks.
He almost got ears as red as Mingi's hair.

"Since you lifted your head. Do you now, that it's not nice to stare?" Mingi said while lifting an eyebrow.
This man was way more teasing and cheeky than when fully awake.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't even have invaded your personal space that way, I get weird when I sleep. I'll move myself." Hongjoong said, embarrassment clear in his voice.
He started to move so he could go somewhere else.
However, Mingi wouldn't let him though.
As soon as Hongjoong was close to get off him, he grabbed the smallers wrist and pulled him down again. Hongjoong fell with a soft "thud" on top of Mingi's chest.
As he were seconds before.
Mingi then proceeded to wrap his arms around Hongjoong and hugged him close while cuddling him.

"You aren't going anywhere! I need something nice and warm to cuddle...If that's okay with you." Mingi looked at Hongjoong who looked like he was panicking, while also slightly enjoying the closeness of them.
He had missed someone to cuddle, so much.

"I-I don't mind it, actually." Hongjoong whispers. Heart pounding hard in his chest.

The rest of the morning went with him and Mingi, talking about everything and nothing.
About their pasts, their present but not the future.
They just choose to live in the present at that very moment.
Simply enjoying the closeness and the others company.
Hongjoong became much more calm with the fact that they laid with each other.
It simply felt so nice.
He felt the warm and fuzzy feeling inside of him, which made him happy and relaxed.

But all good things must come to an end, and Mingi had to go back to the café after a panicking Wooyoung called and yelled that the coffee grinder had stopped working, so loud that Hongjoong himself felt like Wooyoung was yelling into his ear even though he were not the one with the ear to the phone.
That guy could be loud.

With a chuckle, they both stood up. Hongjoong didn't know how to express his thankfulness to Mingi after the delightful gifts and what he had needed the most.
Affection and someone to listen.
It had been too long since he felt cared for.
But he couldn't help but think that this would be the only time, that Mingi would do this.
Hongjoong didn't want it too end.

Little did he know what Mingi's insides too, were in chaos.
He wanted to stay with Hongjoong.
To care for him.
Or just cuddle the hell out of the petite. But he didn't know if he could cross that line.
The "friend" line.
And he had to get to the café as quickly as possible, because Wooyoung wouldn't stop spamming him with messages.
Mingi maid a mental note, that he had to find more opportunities like this. He liked this.
Whatever "this" is.

Saying goodbye with a long and tight hug, Hongjoong walked Mingi to the door where they bid their goodbyes. Hongjoong promising he would come by that day so he could get his coffee fix (and see Mingi but that only went as far as a thought in his mind, and not as a sentence through his mouth)

One look from an outsider, and they would know that these two had deeper feelings than just when in a friendship.
They just didn't know how to address it.
Didn't know how to cross the line and actually take a step in that direction of an relationship.
They just needed a push in the right direction.

I swear I feel more and more single whenever I update this story hahaha XD
I want warm cuddles too ;-;
And coffee hahaha

I've been listening to a lot of Lewis Capaldi, James Arthur, Monsta X and Sam Smith when writing to come in the mood, and I guess it helps ^^

May your days be delightful and your coffee strong.
