"So I'm in love with this girl" Jake said as he sat beside you.At that very moment you felt your heart sink to the bottom of your chest. "Oh that's lovely" you responded forcing a smile on your face, considering you were in love with him.
"But there's just one problem ?" He said with a frown. You placed your hand on top of his across the table. Jake had told you to meet him at a small coffee shop you too visit to speak to you about something very important and now every word he says is stabbing you right in the heart. "What's the problem?" You asked even though you knew the answer would hurt.
"I don't know how to tell her I love her, I've never told a girl other that my mum and sister that I love them" he said clearly embarrassed. "Oh" was all you could say with out sounding heart broken
"So I was wondering if I can try it out on you first since you're my best friend" he said hopeful. You just nodded your head OK and waiting for him to finally say the 3 words your heart has been aching and longing to hear, but it won't truly be for you..
"I love you" he said with a smile 'I love you too' you said in your mind. "That's not so hard now is it ?, you should go tell her" you said smiling encouragingly.
"I just did" he said taking your hand in his, tears slowly fell from your eyes, you've never been so happy in your whole life.
"I love you too"
