Surya's POV

"Hello DCP Surya."

"Evaru?" I ask.

"Who is it?" I ask.

"Vah. Marchipoyava?"

"Wow. You forgot?"

I don't reply.

"Ammayi puttindanta kada?"

"You have a baby girl now right?"

I look around me, hoping to see where the person was calling from.

"Nenu dorakanu."

"You can't find me."

"Rey! Evaru nuvvu. Evaru!" I shout.

"Hey! Who are you. Who!" I shout.

I don't hear anything from the other side.

"Hello? Hello?" I shout.

"Anna emaindi?" Mehu asks, running up to me.

"Anna what happened?" Mehu asks, running up to me.

I look at her.

"Ikkade undu. Em jarigina kuda ikkade undu." I tell her.

"Stay here. No matter what happens, stay here." I tell her.

"Bava? Emaiyindi?" Shaurya asks, coming up to us with Karthik in his hands.

"Brother in law, what happened?" Shaurya asks, coming up to us with Karthik in his hands.

I look at Karthik and smile a bit, forgetting everything after seeing the one month old baby. Mehreen had Karthik last month. I look up at Mehu and Shaurya.

"Indhuki em kaakunda choosukondi please." I say.

"Please take care of Indhu." I say.

They both look at me, puzzled looks on their faces.

"nenu stationki vellali. Please choosukondi." I reply.

"I have to go to the station. Please look after her." I reply.

I turn and leave the hospital. Getting into the jeep, I drive to the police station.

On my way there, I give Dhruva a call.

"Ah Surya. Cheppara." Dhruva says.

"Ah Surya. Tell me man." Dhruva says.

"Nenu neeku oka number pampincha. Trace cheyyi."

"I sent you a number. Trace it."

"Sare ra."

"Ok man."

I cut the call and continue on my way.

I walk into the station.

"Good morning sir." constables salute me. I nod to them in acknowledgement.

I walk into my separate room and Dhruva follows me in.

"Surya, Hyderabad lo undi. Last call Kukatapalli nunchi. Tharuvatha Gachibowli lo off ayindi." Dhruva says.

"Surya, its in Hyderabad. Last call was made from Kukatapalli. Then it was switched off in Gachibowli." Dhruva says.

I sit in my chair and log into my computer.

"Gachibowli."

He nods. I close my eyes, thinking. That voice. It sounded so familiar. Where did I hear it. Where!

"Kukatapalli lo ekkada?" I ask.

"Where in Kukatapalli?" I ask.

"RTO office." is the reply I get.

I open my eyes.

"RTO office?" He nods.

"Avunu."

"Yes."

I get up and walk out, my brain working on loop.

"Kumar, bandi theeyyi. Dhruva naatho ra." I say.

"Kumar, start the car. Dhruva come with me." I say.

Dhruva and I walk outside into the car.

"Kukatapally RTO office." I say. Kumar nods.

Dhruva and I get down in front of the RTO office. We both walk inside, and go into the room.

"Sir. Sir. Evaru sir meeru." A man asks.

"Sir. Sir. Who are you sir?" A man asks.

"CCTV footage kaavali."

"I need the CCTV footage."

"Sir-" he starts to argue.

I pull out my police badge and that shuts him up. He takes us to the surveillance room.

"Eeroju CCTV footage choopi." I say to the man there.

"Show me today's CCTV footage." I say to the man there.

The person starts the footage when my phone rings again.

"Dhruva nuvvu choosthu undu. Evaraina phonetho kanpisthe vaallani photo theesuku. Alage, suspiciousga kanipisthe kuda pampi. Ippude vastha." I say quickly, walking out.

"Dhruva, you keep looking. Send me pics of anyone talking on a phone. Also, send me pics of anyone suspicious. I'll be right back." I say quickly, walking out.

I lift the call.

"Enti. Nee pellam, pillani vadili ekkadakaki vellavu? Nenevaaro kanipettadanika? Thvaralone thelusthundile."

"Where did you go leaving your wife and kid? Trying to find out who I am? You will find out soon enough."

"Ey! Evaru nuvvu. Em kavali?" I shout.

"Hey! Who are you. What do you want?" I shout.

I hear a baby crying in the background.

"Awww. So cute." he just says.

"Nee bidda entha muddugundo!"

"Your daughter is so cute!"

"Ey! Ey naa biddani em cheyyadu. Neekemkavalo cheppu."

"Hey! Hey. Don't do anything to my daughter. Tell me what you want."

"Sare. Nee biddani em cheyyanu."

"Ok. I won't do anything to your daughter."

I let out a sigh.

"Mari...nee pellam?"

"But...your wife?"

"Rey!" I yell.

"Hey!" I yell.
